This dealership is notorious for ripping people off and lying to them. Do not buy a toyota at all. I learned the hard way. My toyota 2005 corolla at 50,000 miles had a bad ecm (electroni control module) lying to them. Do not buy a toyota at all. I learned the hard way. My toyota 2005 corolla at 50,000 miles had a bad ecm (electroni control module) which is basically the computer that controls the whole car and a bad fuel injector. I asked for the bad parts and they said they didn't have them. They refused to give me my bad parts. They told me this was all from a bad tank of gas cuz the smell of the gas was weak. I put in Shell gas all the time. I put in a higher octane gas all the time. I do not believe these liars for a minute. I called Toyota and even met with their factory respresentative which was a complete witch. Her name is Jennifer Hoffman. She makes nothing but excuses. If you try to reason with her she just says we are not paying for it period. My car was 1100.00 to fix. Also the service rep John is a jerk. And the Service Manager Roy is full of crap. I learned do not buy a toyota. They are made very cheap and you have no recourse if something goes wrong. The dealership tells you oh well and Toyota corporation says it's all up to the dealership. I will go back to American made cars for now on. Foreign made cars used to be good, but now they are just made with cheap parts that go bad. Again I am warning everyone do not buy or deal with Continental Toyota. More
Customer Service truly is dead. I talked to Asst. Service manager, John on the phone and he made it sound all easy to get service with Continental, and thats what I was expecting when I made the 20 m Service manager, John on the phone and he made it sound all easy to get service with Continental, and thats what I was expecting when I made the 20 mile drive out of downtown Chicago to visit this dealer. Mind you, I have a Toyota Platinum Care extended warranty on my 4runner, so after arriving at the dealer, John asks me to sign to authorize $120+ to have the mechanic even start looking at my truck...$120+, are you kidding me, I have purchased Toyotas top of the line extended warranty, and there is a major issue wrong w/ the rear axle in my truck and you want to charge me to have the tech look under the car. John should have been explicitly clear about this over the phone, before I wasted my time, money, fuel, energy and effort to drive out of the city to try his service dept. Terrible expectation set by John and terrible customer service. John had a great chance to earn a new customer for service, and he and Continental Toyota blew totally blew!! I would not recommend anyone to go to this dealer. More
