Quick Service We have two GMC vehicles and I brought each of them in on two successive days for an oil change and tire rotation which usually takes an hour. Scheduled a software upgrade of the navigation system Made the appointment online with no problems. Received three confirmation phone calls from the dealership so I believed all would go well and that Made the appointment online with no problems. Received three confirmation phone calls from the dealership so I believed all would go well and that they were expecting me. Showed up on time, waited for the service rep to check me in and they had no clue who I was, no clue that I had an appointment or what it was for. Service rep said there was an "invoice" open (whatever that is) for something else which turned out to be a damaged chrome strip from the previous week. Apparently they had not closed out the service ticket from the prior week and had no record of my appointment for this particular day. I was escorted to the waiting area (had told them when I scheduled the service that I would be waiting for the car). Service rep returned about 20 minutes later to tell me that one car was being serviced and one more was ahead of me. Total process took about 2 1/2 hours. I would have made other arrangements if I had known the time frame, just wondering what the purpose of an appointment is ? Otherwise, the work was completed satisfactorily and everyone was very pleasant. More
