Giving zero stars because One - i was cheated on invoice - I was told that I am getting billed for car price and taxes. I just checked car price and assumed taxes are calculated correctly. We made cash payment of 27.5k at 7:15 pm per sales manager words. Finance person met at 8:55 pm - 5 mins before closing dealership. She asked to sign everything blindly as cash payment was made - we we get back home and opened folded papers found $267 were charged to us for car theft device. This we never requested and agreed. Two - bought car was making noise at dealership - we reported to sales manager - he said it’s not an issue -assured he will take care of any issue if found later. After we bought car next day car making same noise - reported back to dealership- no one is interested is fixing it. Three - sales manager called me after I sent email on post purchase issues .. he assured he will work with finance and servic team and get back to me - 100 hours - 4 follow up no response from sales manager. Original: I took my car for two recalls. 2014 Soul. One recall was the ACU update the other was an engine fire/bearing test. After getting my car back it started sputtering on acceleration. I took it back and the problem persisted. One advisor said they DID feel what I felt yet the papers said they could NOT replicate it. The lead mechanic went on a ride with me and finally felt what I did. He checked the spark plugs and flashed the same software again and again and still the problem wasn't solved. The lead alluded that it could be the transmission failing but they did not check it. They did little to nothing to FIND and SOLVE the problem. They kept saying there was no error codes and couldn't offer any repair service. Well OBVIOUSLY there IS a problem. And it hasn't been solved. Anyone I spoke to seemed to have no sympathy or concern over my issue. This is my first and LAST time I'll ever bring my car here. It's clear they refuse to do actual work to FIND and SOLVE the obvious issue. Update1: it's been 4 days since I sent "Victoria the manager" an email and never responded. Just proves my point they don't care. UPDATE 2: i took my car to Carson Kia in which they informed me right away they could replicate and found the issue. they determined by swapping the spark plugs and coils that there was indeed a misfire from the plugs. i took it for a third opinion at a local mechanic who changed the spark plugs and the problem has been solved. no more misfire no more sputtering. IT WAS FIXED. Covina Kia's mechanics and advisors are liars. they said my spark plugs were fine and "looked brand new." they either didnt check them at all or when they did the recall to inspect the area, didnt reinstall them correctly. also i never got a call back from "Victoria the manager" or any response from her. More
If I could give this dealer a 0 star review I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. They sold me a “certified” vehicle and within 3 days of purchasing transmission on vehicle failed. Their service team failed to do their due-diligence and completely inspect the vehicle upon putting on the lot for sale. I spent hours in their office just so they could give me the run around on my issue. I asked for their general managers information and they tried to withhold it. I’ve been waiting for days now for a call back and nothing. Might I add Jorge in sales is a liar and tried to downplay what was wrong with the car when I spoke to him about it. SUPER DISMISSIVE STAFF! I HIGHLY REGRET “my purchase” here. Would not recommend this dealer. More
Worst dealership I have ever dealt with! They called me and set up a appointment and salesman didn't show! Someone else helped me and had no idea what he was doing! Service department personnel are liars. They will hold your car hostage, claiming that they have to have authorization from KIA corporation to do repairs on a published recall! "We'll let you know by the end of the day" and three days later, you're still without a car. They refuse to provide a rental, basically screwing you any way they can. I've had to deal with recalls with other auto makers and the process was nothing like this xxxx! Face it, KIA, you've put out a bad product...now OWN it and do the right thing! More
