“Dear Sir, We had thought your original post was not intended to be disingenuous and was only coming from a place of frustration. After speaking with you on the phone and your repeated attempts with blackmail and extortion as a way to get money back for work done, I realized that this isn’t frustration; it’s regret for choosing to do work that we warned you could cause problems and failure to do work and replace parts that were failing. You failed to list in your complaint that your vehicle has a pre existing starter problem, that we recommended you replace it before doing any new work, and that was the reason it wouldn’t start when you picked it up. Once started, the vehicle ran similar to the way it did when you dropped it off. You further failed to explain that your custom built engine has parts from several different manufacturers and has leak issues that you declined us fix. You brought the vehicle in for a shifter cable issue which took a week and a half to get as it is a special order part from California. You asked us to do additional work of adjusting timing on the vehicle. When we advised you that we were not comfortable with doing all the different things to adjust timing and that they needed to be done together, you implored us to do the only one we would be willing to do; Even against our advice that without doing the others was problematic. You said you would take the risk. Finally and most interestingly, when we quoted you the cost to do the work you would let us do over the phone, you approved it and the actual bill came out less. We still have a list of recommendations of failing or quickly failing parts that you have repeatedly declined to have us repair or replace.
