After doing our research and visiting several dealers, we chose Criswell in Annapolis to purchase our new Acura TL with tech package. The main reason we chose Criswell was Alan Hannon, the salesman. After dealing with Alan, I think he deserves the honorary doctorate title of "Doctor of Automotive Performance and Customer Care." During our first test drive, Alan acquainted us with all the features of the car, provided helpful and useful information and gave us all the time we felt we needed. He was professional,congenial and informative. Alan also told us that if we purchased the car from him, after the initial training session, he would be happy to provide additional training sessions (even to the point of coming to our home) and providing information over the telephone at any time. Now, you might wonder "why" we might need at that -- in two words: "tech package." I am an attorney and my husband is a physician, but Acura must have had Bill Gates as a consultant for all the tech elements of this car! We will need additional help to utilize all the features of this car. We believe that we received a very good deal price-wise, but we did our research and homework. I live in Virginia and was in the market to purchase an Acura TL. I did my research and had contacted several dealerships in VA and Maryland. Initially, I was hesitant to consider Criswell Acura because they were the farthest distance from me. However, I decided to at least hear what they had to offer. I discussed my specific concerns of price of the new car, value for my trade in, and financing. Alan was very courteous and professional in all his dealings with me. He quoted me the best comparable price for the new car and financing. Also, when I took in my trade vehicle, he gave me the best offer when compared to the other dealers (the others weren't even close!). At that point, it became a very easy decision! As with any major purchase, I highly recommend doing your research up front. Once armed with that knowledge, you can see through the "games" that some dealers play. At no point, did I feel the "game" from Alan. He was very patient and responsive throughout the entire process and fully answered all of my questions. He's extremely knowledgeable about the car and all it's features! After the purchase, he has followed up to see how things were going and answered any additional questions. In my opinion, Alan has been upfront and a straight shooter (which is perfect, because I don't have time for "games") Bottomline, even though every experience can be different, I would highly recommend Alan and Criswell Acura! Those dealers have a goal of making money, not making loyal customers that will return for years to come. There was none of that at Criswell. I received a very competitive quote the first time I asked for one. My sales guy knew more about the car than I could absorb (with all the electronics included in the tech package on the TL, I know I will have to call Stefano with questions). The entire transaction, from the first hello to signing the paperwork, was done in a friendly and professional environment that all dealerships should emulate. More
