Thank you for the reply. I am still unclear on what is the ideal cost-benefit oil replacement interval for normal in town and on highway using synthetic oil. 5K miles has been a benchmark, but is that true for synthetic oil. Why should I not go to a 7.5K mile oil change interval? BTW, what are the benefits of synthetic motor oil over other motor oil? Again, thanks for the prompt reply.
