I'm 67,000 richer and I Can Sleep tonight. If I had just bought the car I would have felt xxxxx. It's sad that their customer service was so horrible. Even if they couldn't make the deal happen they could have been pleasant about it. More

Not a great experience I purchased a 2012 Ford Focus on June 26th 2014. While I was purchasing the car my service was great. They said they would take care of everything. I I purchased a 2012 Ford Focus on June 26th 2014. While I was purchasing the car my service was great. They said they would take care of everything. I noticed the tire sensor was on in the car when I test drove it. They said it would turn off after I drove for a little bit. They said if it didn't turn off just bring it in anytime and they'll fix it. They were also supposed to send me a check in the mail and said I would receive it by Tuesday July 1st 2012. I drove the car until Thursday July 3rd, the tire sensor light was still on, also still haven't received my check. I decided to go to the dealer and see if they could check out my tires. They said they can't today because of recalls and I would have to make an appointment and come back the following week. I would also have to leave my car there for the day. I asked if they would provide me with a rental so I could get to work. They said no all they can do is let me take their shuttle, but I would be late to work. They said to just tell my employer that I would need to be late. Service told me I could ask the sales team about the rental. I go inside and wait to speak to a sales rep. I tell them the situation, they tell me service would help me with that. So I got the run around for about 30 minutes. Then they tell me I should speak with the service manager, which of course he is gone for the day. So I gave up on that. I asked to speak with finance about my check. Wait another 10 minutes, I ask them about my check, he has no idea what I am talking about. He looks in the system but doesn't see anything about my check. He said I should call back on Monday. So I was there for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. I left with no answers to any of my issues. I ended up checking my tires pressure and realized they didn't check it before a I bout the car, so what they said would take a day, I fixed in 5 minutes. To me, that just sounds like pure laziness. I can honestly say that I would never purchase a car from them ever. I would not recommend anyone to purchase a car from this dealer. More

I first visited Ron Baker Chevrolet in January 2007 to purchase a Chevy Avalanche LTZ. The Sales lady was not very helpful. She had the "take it or leave it" type of attitude. "I would have to work thi purchase a Chevy Avalanche LTZ. The Sales lady was not very helpful. She had the "take it or leave it" type of attitude. "I would have to work this Saturday to get the vehicle you want so I really can't budge much on the price." (She actually said that to my face... out loud!) I found the Avalanche she would have had to take an hour out of her day to retrieve, I drove to THAT dealership, and bought it. During my time owning this truck I had it serviced at Ron Baker and Mike Atkins always was extremely helpful and was the very reason I decided to give the Ron Baker sales staff another shot when I was ready to purchase a 2011 Camaro 2SS/RS. I let the sales staff know I am eligible for the GM Military discount. Then David M. in sales came back with "After talking to all the Managers, What they want me to do is to charge MSRP for the Camaro." (that is a cut-paste from the email, not my words, HIS!) I contacted GM about why I wasn't offered the Military discount I qualify for, they contacted Ron Baker Chevy and I was told to try again because they changed their mind about offering me the discount. I then got another quote from them which still did not come close to the price I had negotiated with another local dealer. (almost a $1,000 difference.) I have since spoke with another local military member that qualified for the GM Military discount. He purchased a 2011 Camaro at Ron Baker. I asked him if he received the discount. He said yes, but they marked up the car about $3,000 over MSRP THEN took off the "discount". (I got the same car he did for $2,500 UNDER MSRP at another dealer.) Ron Baker Chevrolet had a chance to sell me 2 vehicles in 3 years, valued at almost $90,000 and missed out due to sales staff that must think they are the only dealers in town. I don't think I was asking too much in my negotiations since I found other local dealers to sell to me at the price I thought was fair. I don't know if Ron Baker is competative if you do not qualify for some sort of preffered pricing but if you are a member of the military, you'd be making a huge financial error in judgement to shop at Ron Baker.
