Negative Experience I'm not sure where to start. Buying or leasing a car is always stressful, but this experience was just a whole new low. I was excited to have the I'm not sure where to start. Buying or leasing a car is always stressful, but this experience was just a whole new low. I was excited to have the car delivered to my home to avoid going to the dealership and also avoid dealing with the negative experience that is often associated with buying a car. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I test drove my vehicle and knew that it was the exact car I was looking for. I went back and forth with Troy Killian in negotiations, as would be expected when leasing a car but things took a turn for the worse. I was told my net cap cost would be "x" and was excited that the process was coming to a close. After punching some final numbers, I contacted Troy to confirm this figure was final and would not include any additional fees. He assured me it would not and this was my final 'net cap cost'. While I was signing my documents to finalize my purchase I noticed the 'net cap cost' was $1700 higher than I was told it would be earlier the same morning. I called Troy for an explanation and he became very defensive. He tried to throw numbers and car sales industry jargon at me. I was called "dude" and "bro" countless times. He repeatedly stated that there was not a better deal in the metroplex, when a simple search online proved otherwise. He tried to pressure me by saying multiple people were going to buy the car if I didn't today. He also said that the rebate was expiring the next day when there had been no prior communication of an expiration date. One would expect a salesman to maybe meet in the middle or just ask what the ideal resolution would be, but he made no attempt to resolve the discrepancy in price. I have the voicemail saved as the unprofessionalism is truly baffling to me, having had 15+ years in customer service. On top of all of this, I called him back explaining how I felt disappointed by this experience and wanted to come to a resolution. He didn't even have the common decency to return my phone call. I have never had an experience this terrible in my life while trying to make a purchase, big or small. I was referred to D&M and not only did I walk away from the deal and will be leasing a vehicle from someone else that knows how to do business ethically and morally, but the friends that referred me will also be sure to stay clear of Troy in the future. They as well as the people that referred them will no longer be using Troy Killian or D and M leasing. More
