Todd Harrlet, the sales manager, is a liar and very rude. I would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. In my purchase contract, I was told (in writing) that a safety issue would be fixed. After 7 I would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. In my purchase contract, I was told (in writing) that a safety issue would be fixed. After 7 days with no contact, I called the salesman and inquired. He told me he would call me the next day, but he did not. At 10 days, I purchased the part myself, and at 14 days, I was called to bring my car in for a detail! I asked to have the sales manager call me two hours later. He called and was rude on the phone when I told him he needed to reimburse me for the cost of the part. He hung up on me! After filling out reviews on Yelp and another site, I was put in touch with Jeff Chapin and was told he was the real sales manager. The problem is that with this dealership, birds of a feather flock together. I have been back and forth with Jeff for two months. He has promised me that he will refund me. He has even gone so far as to send me an email saying, "CHECK IS IN THE MAIL." This was on 12/8/23. Still no check. Why is it so hard to reimburse me $66.54? More
This dealership sold me a car that had a slew of problems, initially gave me trouble when I tried to fix it, didn’t give me a choice of car (I was trading in another car for one that was more afford problems, initially gave me trouble when I tried to fix it, didn’t give me a choice of car (I was trading in another car for one that was more affordable), and has been unhelpful, disrespectful, and painfully slow in all of my interactions with them. It is September 23rd of 2023 and I have been trying to find a solution with them since December 1st of 2022, when I first came in after extensive repairs after having only had the car for eleven months. They will ignore you, vehemently try to sell you another vehicle, not take you seriously, and hustle you. I have emailed the sales manager and called him a ludicrous amount of times with little response. After communicating my frustrations to someone in sales yesterday (I did not receive a response for two days when I was told it would take 45 minutes), they hung up on me. This dealership doesn’t care about talking to you unless it’s going to make them money. The second you have a problem or need your vehicle serviced, they will give you the run around. Every time that I have gone there and need a repair, they are unclear about a time frame of service and a rental vehicle has NEVER been available, because at a dealership of that size apparently they only have one rental vehicle. They are rude, condescending, and do not follow through on their promises. When I went to the better business bureau, that is the only time I received a prompt response as it’s required. The sales manager then communicated to me that he would solve the issue outside of the better business bureau because according to him the BBB was a waste of time and not worth working through (of course I am taking that with a grain of salt). You would think that any reputable company would treat returning clients with respect, however that is not the case here. Please, just buy a car somewhere else. More
If I wished to drive my worst enemies slowly insane, I would recommend they have their car serviced here. First of all, the place is a nightmare to get to, at a congested intersection with only a right tu would recommend they have their car serviced here. First of all, the place is a nightmare to get to, at a congested intersection with only a right turn entrance. One can sit through three or four cycles of the traffic light before being able to turn in. Once there, I found myself returning no fewer than six times for unsatisfactory repairs to the suspension of my 2011 Honda Element. The groaning and creaking sound from the suspension was diagnosed as worn out struts and shocks. Over $2,500 later, the creaking persisted. On my fourth visit, they managed to damage the trim piece under the driver's door. On my sixth visit, they refused to work on the suspension unless I paid over $1,000 to have the fuel lines drained and cleaned after the check-engine light came on due to 50-something% ethanol fuel I'd purchased elsewhere a few days before. I told them the creaking was louder and more persistent than ever, and didn't require a test drive to hear. They refused to work on it without test driving it first, and refused to test drive it unless I had them work on the fuel lines. I'm so done with that place. The only reason I give them one star is that everyone was helpful until the last visit, and seemed to be trying to work the problem. Frank seemed like a good guy stuck in the middle of my aggravating experience. They replaced the broken trim piece on my fifth visit, and didn't charge me extra once I'd paid for the new struts and shocks. I still have the creaking noise though, louder than ever. More
I used the KBB ICO process, received an offer plus a dealer boost (likely because this is a Honda S2000 that's been serviced religiously at this dealership since it was purchased in 2005), and set an ap dealer boost (likely because this is a Honda S2000 that's been serviced religiously at this dealership since it was purchased in 2005), and set an appointment for Sunday morning after an email conversation with DCH rep Anthony. I show up, and the person I set the appointment with is apparently off. Ok, no problem, someone else can help me. I bring up the ICO offer I received (that DCH Honda Mission Valley boosted themselves) and try to give them the offer code so they can compare my inputs to the conditions they determine, and no one even wants to look at my ICO offer. I bring it up again, hey guys, I'm here because of this ICO offer, and they won't even acknowledge it. After 10 mins they come back with an offer 4875 lower than the prior offer and still won't even look at the ICO. If you guys don't want to use the KBB ICO process, then don't use their service, boost my offer at your own dealer, and waste my time. What an absolute joke of customer service, really earning that stealership reputation. More
Recently purchased a truck at DCH Honda and it was a nightmare. After signing papers and about to drive home we realized the stereo wasn’t working. They said the service people knew about it not working nightmare. After signing papers and about to drive home we realized the stereo wasn’t working. They said the service people knew about it not working and had a work order to fix it. Why would they sell a car that wasn’t completely finished. So they gave us a work order. They told us that Lisa would be calling us to set up days. Well Lisa never called and I called her and she hung up. After she called me back and she explained Jeff was gone (general manager) and she can put the work order in but it would most likely take 1 month to fix after ordering the pieces. A month to fix a situation that was their fault. I had already waited at the dealership for 5 hours purchasing the car. We ended up fixing it ourselves and they won’t even reimburse us. The general manager said he will look into it and yet never called us back. I left voicemail after voicemail. Their customer service is horrible. Please if you need a car go across the street to Toyota. They have an amazing sale team and amazing customer service. We told all our military friends about this place. Stay away from them. They only want to make a sale they don’t care about their customers. More
Rude and Insulting I showed up to buy a HR-V on Sunday morning. The salesperson was a pleasure to talk to. But who ever showed up to discuss the finance and pricing (do not remember seeing a name tag) was morning. The salesperson was a pleasure to talk to. But who ever showed up to discuss the finance and pricing (do not remember seeing a name tag) was rude and insulting. After expressing my concern with the proposed down payment and monthly payments, the solution suggested to solve my problems was to divorce my wife and start living in the car. I left the DCH Honda of Mission Valley dealer, went to another dealer and got the car that I wanted with the price that I wanted. The price that I had in mind was not unreasonable. The only reason I am give 1 star, and not zero, is because of the salesperson, that was a gentleman. More
Worst service I have ever had with Honda. Never go there for any services. I moved to California recently. I have been a customer of Honda for more than 10 years in Nevada and received the best service when for any services. I moved to California recently. I have been a customer of Honda for more than 10 years in Nevada and received the best service when I lived there. I went to this dealership for a express oil change. They accepted my car but after more than half hour, a very rude staff, Anthony Schaffer told me I should have an appointment for oil change and refused this service. I have never made an appointment for express oil change and there is no information in the website that inform I need an appointment for express oil change. I asked to talk with his manager, he said. there is no manger on Saturday!! I asked about his name but he did not give me his name that is very unprofessional. I found his business card in back of his desk. I do not recommend for any services with this dealership. Mani K. More
