I spoke with the Sales Manager at our Pre-Owned store (I am going to request that this review be moved from Danbury Audi to Weeks Pre-owned Center, where the transaction too place). He is familiar with your situation. Seth, I wanted to give you an update. Thank you for sending over the pictures and the estimate. I met today with our General Manager and the Pre-Owned Sales Manager to look at the pictures you provided as well as the estimate you provided. We are working on the issue. I know we exchanged e-mails but going forward I would l document this case through Dealer Rater so that we are all on the same page. Hi Seth, A week ago we spoke about your disappointment with the overall condition of the body on the Audi Q5 you purchased. We made you a goodwill offer to allow you to address a number of the cosmetic issues. I was expecting to hear from you this week. I do need to put a deadline on this however so the offer stands until Wednesday, June 26th, at which time it will be withdrawn. Please contact either Jim Altemus or myself before then if you find the proposal to be a reasonable solution. Thank you, Steve Haas General Manager

I have been away on vacation and did not see this response until now. I am not ready to make this decision and certainly do not agree with this added deadline, considering the amount of time I waited for a response, I think you can hold out a little longer while I finalize my communication with Audi NA. Since you were away, I will extend the deadline on your acceptance to Monday, July 15. I'm sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. I will look into what happened in this case and see what we need to do to make sure we are doing a better job going forward. I'm assuming he sold you your car, but he has been out on medical leave for a couple months so I'm assuming you spoke with someone else.

Without knowing who that is the best I can do is provide some general feedback. I spoke with Jenn Brown, who you have been communicating with about the extended warranty. It sounds like she was trying to get you some clarification on the terms and conditions of your extended warranty should you decide to modify your car. I can't speak to the tone the Service Adviser took with you on the phone, but I can tell you that they speak from the experience of filing claims with the third party warranty providers and not with selling the warranty itself. Anytime you modify a vehicle that is under warranty, factory or third party, you do run the risk of voiding the warranty. If you are comfortable that the work you are going to do to your car is not going to void your warranty, and you have something from the warranty provider in writing that says that the modifications that you are going to make will not void the warranty, that is ultimately between you and the warranty provider. Please let me know if you have any questions.
