I tried this service department because I had a problem that my mechanic could not fix. I was so pleasantly surprised that I would go back for sure. I dealt with three different people on the phone, prior to my appointment, they were all great. When I arrived Kim did my paper work and went over the car with me. Her performance was flawless, everything I would want in a Service Manager and none of the things I wouldn't. She was very competent, confident, honest and professional. I was so comfortable with her that I ended up doing more work than I planned and work that I would have normally saved for my own mechanic or done myself. I'm always fascinated by company management/attitude and it's clear to me that someone higher up is sending a clear message about how customers should be treated at Darling's Bangor service, even the two rental car people I dealt with were great. Not your average service visit! We've used Darlings for many years for service on our various vehicles - Volvos, Fords, VWs. Service has been by and large thorough and positive. We recently had to leave our VW on an emergency last-minute basis as we were headed out of town - electronics were doing weird things, liking opening and closing windows on their own. They took good care of the vehicle and kept us informed by email of everything that was going on. Kim Cotta was great as keeping in touch with us and letting us know our options. We've been looking at a purchase - not quite there yet - but have been impressed by John Tilton and his knowledge of vehicles and his willingness to help us through the process of buying a vehicle.
