I went with my parents on 6/28/10 to look at an Accord EX-L sedan for them. Our salesman, Gary Jones was very friendly and helpful. He located a 2010 demonstrator with 5,500 miles on it. At first glance, it appeared to be in fine condition. While my parents went inside to negotiate, my brother (who arrived later) and I looked over the car more closely and were very surprised to find both passenger side wheels were seriously damaged. They weren't scratched or scuffed, they actually had pieces of metal gouged out of them near the tires. Our formerly trustworthy salesman, Mr. Jones made no mention of this while showing the car. I have no problem with selling a car "as is" as long as any defects are disclosed, but this kind of deception from a dealer with St. Louis Honda's reputation is absolutely shocking. When we pointed out the wheel damage to Mr. Jones, he suggested my parents could buy new wheels out of their own pockets. After this, my parents actually bought a brand new 2010 Accord EX-L from them at a reasonable price. But if it were up to me, I would have left after the incident with the demonstrator. I guess the old adage "buyer beware" applies here as well as anywhere. More
I received a no-nonsense, no smoke and mirrors approach to buying a new car. I had shopped other dealerships and this is what I had experienced. Mike was a great salesman. From the second we walked in the door he was there to help. He was not pushy like some sales people are and he was very respective with whatever decisions I made. Ken was great to work with. He was patient with us and always offered friendly, good advice. He took all of our concerns to the next level and helped satisfy us when there was the potential for us to be always offered friendly, good advice. We purchased a used vehicle from Ken and we were troubled to find out that this vehicle had a known issue that is common to most others like it (2007 V6 Accord). Ken took our concern to management and they worked with us to buy that vehicle back so that we could purchase a different one. We did purchase a new 4 cylinder Accord from Ken and we are very happy. Not only for the car but for the service that we were given by Ken and his team. I've purchased a few vehicles in my time and Ken has by far been the most customer focused sales person I've come across. I feel as though we are now friends and look forward to working with him in the future. More
