My visit was subpar compared to other dealership experiences. I usually go to Lexus dealership, but was out of town and had car issue. They said that they had the part in stock, unfortunately it was towards the end of the day and they said they couldn’t change the part that evening, which was fine. I called the next morning to make an appointment for get my service, the lady that picked up the phone said that there was opening all day for walk-ins, so she said I couldn’t make an appointment. I thought it was odd, but I asked her if I brought my car in would it be serviced by the end of the day since I inquired that they did have the part in stock yesterday.... that morning I bring my car in and they say it will be done by end of the day (the earliest) or next morning ( the latest). Because I waited 2 hours for my diagnostic test the previous day, I didn’t want to wait all day for the service to be done, so I accepted a loaner car. 3 hours after leaving the service department, I get a call from Toyota stating that they did not have the part and since it was Friday they would have to wait until Monday for the parts to come. I was expecting my car to be done in less than 24hrs, but I accepted that there was nothing to do besides wait till the parts to come in. Monday rolls around and I called several times to the number they gave me to call to check on my car. I wanted to call to let them know that I was going to have another person pick up my car since I would be at work all day. No one picks up, I get put on hold if someone does pick up, so I waited and waited. I waited till 1pm and find out that the service guy left a voicemail at 11am! Stating that the car was ready. How come they couldn’t just pick up when I called all morning? Would have prevented hours wasted trying to contact the dealership. More
So far so good. Service has always been good on current and previous Camry. My gripe was the purchase price and the extra fees on current car. I felt used and abused by the sales person. Worked with Emily - she was professional, personable and friendly. I checked around for pricing and it was a little more than expected, but it looks like the mechanic took the time to do a good job. I was a little surprised that the serpentine belt was not part of the timing belt/water pump/ front seals replacement - and surprised not in a good way (another $200) for a belt you already took off, so I decided that. Overall I would come back, but would check out other options too based on pricing. More
