Kenny Froisy in Internet Sales was GREAT! We had been looking for a 2015 CPO Mazda3 for my niece and was referred to Kenny at Clear Lake; however, the car we were interested in was sold. My n We had been looking for a 2015 CPO Mazda3 for my niece and was referred to Kenny at Clear Lake; however, the car we were interested in was sold. My niece found another one she liked at Munday Mazda off of 1960/45, so, we went there on a Friday night to look. We were handed a sheet of paper stating what the deal would be ( I took a picture of it too) then we went back the next morning to make the deal and we were told something completely different. Basically, we were lied to and I would never recommend that dealership to anyone. While my husband was still inside at Munday, I called Kenny and told him what was going on and he said for what the other dealership was offering that he could put us in a brand new 2016 Mazda and to top it off it was the color our niece really wanted. So, we went there and everything Kenny told us would happen did! It was a very smooth transaction and I highly recommend Kenny and Clear Lake Mazda. Note - this was a 60 mile drive for us too but worth it! Thank you from the Bernal Family! More
Great Experience I bought a car for my oldest. We researched, found the one we were looking for, called the dealership about our day/time or arrival. When we got there I bought a car for my oldest. We researched, found the one we were looking for, called the dealership about our day/time or arrival. When we got there it didn't take long before the car was ready for a test drive. Due to time constraints on our end we could not finish the purchase that day but had to come a week later. We then had another a look at the car, it has been cleaned and prepped nicely. The finance guy was friendly too and it took about an hour and a half and my oldest could drive the new car off the lot. More
Great customer service David Turner helped me find the car I had been looking for and made the buying process very easy! He wasn't your typical pushy car salesman. Overall it was a relatively good and straightforward experience. Went in during the afternoon - did a test drive. Sat down and Chris immediately gave me the offer on paper. Told him what price I was expecting to get on my trade in and they matched it. For the price negotiation they brought out a manager to talk about it- he went on about how the price wasn't a haggle price blah blah blah.. After talking about the estimate, we dropped it by $500.. I told them I was looking at other vehicles and I would be thinking about it. Fast forward 6 hours, I call back and ask about the offer. Chris says he spoke with his manager and he got another $100 off, great! I come back and they honor the previous offer, not trying to add any miscellaneous charges. We went through the final paper work which took around an hour 1/2. I forgot the man who assisted with the payment process, but he was great as well. Kept it short and simple. Chris was easy going throughout the entire process. Thanks ! -JT More

I had already test driven the CX5 previously and wanted to look at different options. Everything was easy and no pressure. I walked away very satisfied with my vehicle and the dealership. Several checked on me during the experience and after my purchase. Very pleased. More

Don't get your vehicle serviced here!! I took my car in for routine oil change because it came with free oil changes when I bought it from Mazda. I always have to tell them to put the paper I took my car in for routine oil change because it came with free oil changes when I bought it from Mazda. I always have to tell them to put the paper down in my car so my carpet and floor mats don't get grease all over them. They never do except once and I have always left either with them cleaning my carpet or me going home to clean my carpet because it has grease on it. Once I got home from my most recent oil change I saw that the passenger back door had been dented and scratched up by whoever drove it. I took my car back to Mazda to have them fix the dent and scratches that they put on my car. I had that scheduled and I dropped it off. They told me it would take all day basically. when I went to pick it up they fixed it perfectly and you can't tell that it was damaged but a few days later when I needed to charge my phone I went to reach for my charger which was missing so I thought maybe they put it inside my console. opened my console and there are things missing out of my center console along with both of my phone charging cords my cigarette outlet charger and a few other things from my center console. Don't take your car to Mazda of Clear Lake service department! They will steal from you and ruin the interior of your vehicle! More

Take a calculator with you, they don't know how to add I read great reviews about the Mazda CX-5, and after some research on the internet, my wife and I went to Mazda of Clearlake and met with the internet I read great reviews about the Mazda CX-5, and after some research on the internet, my wife and I went to Mazda of Clearlake and met with the internet sales guy, this was on Saturday around 1 pm, he was courteous and took us on a test drive and answered most of our questions. We found a model that we liked very much, and agreed on a price. He was working with a few other customers so we spent a good amount of time just waiting, so much so that we went to lunch, When we came back he finally brought out the proposal sheet they use for the deal, its a printed form that looks like a typical invoice that had all parties names, the vehicle description and vin number. NOW THIS IS IMPORTANT, it had a column that detailed the numbers, retail price, discounts rebates, taxes and fees, ect. The sales price was as quoted, and the taxes and fees seemed typical and at the bottom of the column was the unpaid balance (or what I would call the bottom line) although I didn’t discover until later, that number was off by $644 too much. If you tried to add it all up the math just didn’t work. After waiting some more (I really think they just try to wear you out so they can rush you through the paperwork) it was time to do the real deal. On the contract there is an itemization of amount financed, on the cash price (line item #1) I noticed the price was not what was quoted and pointed it out, he told me that that included tax , THAT IS THE NUMBER YOU MUST CHECK! I didn’t, I just accept his word and finished up the deal and we took our car home (we love it). Once we got home I started looking over the deal and I found I had been overcharged $644. I went back to the dealer on Monday morning to point this out and one of the assistants was able to pull up the deal on the computer, turned out that the sales price was as quoted but there are 2 entries added to every deal (what he said) . They offer (still as of today on their website) free lifetime oil changes, yet when I asked about it, they said they don’t do that anymore, it’s now only for 3 years or 36000 miles. However one of the INVISIBLE / UNDISCLOSED fees is an oil recovery fee ($300) that doesn’t sound free to me, the other $344 INVISIBLE / UNDISCLOSED fee, he said was for seals, clear coat, under coat, scotch guard, ( the car had 3 miles on it, the sales guy said it just came off the truck and hadn’t even been moved) any way there were $644 in charges that were never disclosed anywhere, it just looked like somebody didn’t know how to add. I had to fight with the finance director to get this changed; he started by offering $200 then $300 but finally redid the deal for what it was supposed to be in the first place. IF I HAD NOT CHECKED THE DEAL CLOSELY I WOULD BE WRITING WHAT A GOOD EXPERIENCE IT WAS. I strongly suspect they have been doing this for awhile and most people do not even catch it because they really are hidden charges. IF YOU ARE GOING TO BUY FROM THESE GUYS YOU BETTER CHECK THEIR MATH. If they are still advertising free oil changes for life but saying they don't when you get there, ask why? They have had more than enough time to change their website. I have complete documentation if anybody (dealer) wants proof. More
