Super Star We came to Dick Smith Hyundai in search of an idea of what kind of car we wanted. We fully intended to only shop around to get an idea of our options, but we quickly found ourselves comfortable enough to pursue a purchase on the spot. We fully doubt that we could have found the level of accommodation that we experienced without Al taking us under his wing. Al's sincerity and all-around helpfulness really sealed the deal for us. Likewise, dealing with Josh in the Finance department was a pleasure (even if he is a Gamecock fan). I wouldn't hesitate to send my family or friends here without reservation. I look forward to dealing with Al and Dick Smith again in the future. Corey and Sadie Simmons More

Thanks to them, my 2009 Genesis looks almost brand new and drives like it is brand new ! To make an appointment online or via phone is always easy, and when I arrive at their Service Dept., they take my Genesis right away. When we bring in our 2014 Tucson, they give us the same great service. We think Hyundai make great vehicles, and Dick Smith Hyundai Service Dept. enhances the Hyundai ownership experience even more. I have four children and the lady that hit me did a hit and run. I pull into Hyundai in Greenville on Congaree Road, and this guy named Andy came out to help me. He talked to me and was so kind and help me find the most perfect car for me! I didn't feel pressured like I normally do when I buy a car. If you go here everyone please select this employee he's amazing he knows what he's talking about and he has a big heart! More
Breaks in trust during and after car puchase I was quite dissatisfied with my treatment at this dealership when I bought my 2017 Hyundai Sonata . There were a series of breaks in trust all throughout the process of buying the car, and even subsequent to our purchase. Prior to buying the car, I was told that I would get a special deal giving me a year of free service, only to find that this was done for all customers and wasn't really a special offer. I drove all the way from Columbia to Greenville to buy the car based on certain special incentives, only to find that the incentives were not particularly special. That wasn't too big of a deal though. What followed was worse. Once I got there, I was told that I would get a college graduate discount once I emailed in my diploma. This discount was for $400. That was a huge incentive for me. While signing the documents for the car, I was told explicitly that I would get this extra deal. Unfortunately once I got back home it took multiple calls and emails to get them to respond. It was like once I got the car, I was no longer of any interest. And even to get them to try to begin the process was a hassle. I was consistently told that it would "only" be a $10 difference to my monthly payment to try to discourage me from proceeding. I had to insist that I wanted them to proceed for them to even begin the process. This is unfortunate, since $10 can make a huge difference to some families, especially over the course of many years. In the end, I didn't even get the discount because of a condition they failed to mention during the sale and our subsequent interactions. There is a $2000 monthly income requirement. As a graduate assistant getting my PhD at University of South Carolina, my income is a couple hundred dollars lower than that. The puzzling thing is that my wife was a co-applicant. She has an income that doubles the requirement. It is a ridiculous condition to have that fail to count towards the income requirements when she is a co-applicant. When I bought my Toyota Camry with a graduate discount, no such problems were faced. I had no income and my mother was my co-applicant. I had no trouble getting the $500 discount from them. If anything, Hyundai should reward those who are pursuing a higher degree even if they fail to get that requirement, especially if they have supplementary income from a spouse co-applicant or are pursuing higher-education and getting a minimal stipend for a graduate assistantship. They are the ones that need the help. Prior to leaving the dealership after purchasing the car, I was told that an agent would contact me to get in touch about setting up their BlueLink services. Instead, I got no contact and I had to call in to get the agent to help me. Overall, it was a bad experience. It discourages me from wanting to get another Hyundai, especially from this dealership. I come from a family of Toyota owners (we have four Camrys in my immediate family). I'd rather go back to purchasing a Toyota if it means more responsive and reliable customer service. More

The employees I worked with were kind, courteous and very professional. I was pleasantly surprised at the straight forwardness of the whole process. Even though this dealer is almost an hour from where I live, I will for sure be returning here for maintenance for as long as I live in the area and own a Hyundai. More
