Left a very happy customer!! I was in the market for a new car (was actually planning on buying used) for the first time in 13 years. I was interested in an SUV and came into Dic I was in the market for a new car (was actually planning on buying used) for the first time in 13 years. I was interested in an SUV and came into Dick Smith Hyundai to look at one they had on the lot. While there, we were met by the best car salesman that I've had the opportunity to meet. This was on a Thursday. Upon meeting Andy Vacha, I was very direct and up front that we had no intention to buy a car that day. That didn't stop Andy from giving us the 5 star treatment and spending A LOT of time with us, going over what he had on the lot - including a new Santa Fe. We got so much information from Andy. He is clearly VERY good at his job and is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. We left on Thursday evening - with information and no car - exactly our intention (and we were never, not even once, pressured into buying a car). I called Andy on Saturday and told him that we'd like to come in and test drive the Santa Fe that we saw (or one like it). He requested that I give him a bit of notice and he'd have the car waiting on us. And, he did! He even remembered, from our discussions on Thursday, that we were big University of SC fans and, accordingly, he chose to put us in the red/garnet version of the car (a nice touch!). We drove the car and it drove like a dream. We didn't want to be too hasty, so we decided to go get some lunch and talk it over (and go drive some other cars to help us decide). It wasn't long before we were certain that we wanted to go with the Santa Fe and with Andy. So - back to the dealership we went!! Andy worked with us to ensure that we had THE car we wanted - and to be sure that we understood all of the technology! To the point, that we were still sitting in the car - going over the features at nearly 10:30pm. Andy is AMAZING! And, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him (and Dick Smith) to anyone! In addition to Andy, we had the PLEASURE of working with Dale Gosnell on our financing. He was very thorough and very eager to make us happy! Like Andy, he made the car buying process seamlessly easy. We're forever grateful for the time he took with us - to make sure we understood all of our options and to be the type of man with the integrity to not just try to sell, sell, sell… but, to ensure that we were getting what we needed!! This was a much welcomed experience, especially having not financed a car in over 20 years. Thank you - Dick Smith Hyundai - for making our re-entry into the car buying market a wonderful experience. Most pleasant Car buying Experience ever.... We had done our research before going to test drive and had narrowed it down to 3 makes, the Hyundai Santa Fe being one. We would go and look at cars on the days when the dealership was closed, mainly because we didn't want to deal with the normal pressure of the Sales reps. When we decided to go drive the Santa Fe we were pleasantly surprised at how well informed our sales rep was on all of the features the Santa Fe offered and how much time he took to show us the car from inside to outside. At no time did we feel like we were being pressured to purchase, it was quite the opposite because Andy only wanted to make sure we fully understood everything the car had to offer. He made us feel so comfortable and at ease with the whole experience! More
