Sold Me a Defective Vehicle Did quite a bit of research, within a 100 mile radius of my home to find a Explorer Sport, after looking at a ton, one popped up on the Ron Lewis site Did quite a bit of research, within a 100 mile radius of my home to find a Explorer Sport, after looking at a ton, one popped up on the Ron Lewis site at a fantastic price, I was so excited I forgot to look at the reviews, (lesson learned) I made an appointment with Kenny for Friday morning, drove 90 miles out there, got to the lot, found the car and then had to call into the dealership because no one was around. Kenny was not in that day so they sent Dustin out, a real schmoozer. On his way to us he hit the remote start for the vehicle and the engine stuttered to life, he said “no worries, it’s just because it’s been sitting for awhile,” (I need to follow my instincts) so we took the car for a ride. I did love the ride and it had all the options I wanted so I decided to continue with the purchase. There was absolutely no negotiating with them, they said the vehicle was priced at rock bottom and they have to do that because everyone’s searching the Internet so they have to put their best foot forward. I decided to go ahead because I did believe it was priced well. Drove the Explorer home 90 miles and then it pretty much sat in my driveway until I turned my lease in. Before I was even through my first tank of gas I started to hear a grinding noise in the back. I called Dustin and we agreed since we weren’t sure what it was, instead of driving it all the way back there I would go someplace local and we would go from there. We came to find out that they had replaced the wheel bearing, cut through heat shield while doing so and failed to replace the axel nut. The mechanic said I was very lucky the wheel didn’t come off. When I called Dustin to tell him this he said he was very sorry, he wanted to make it right. He said he could bump the price of his next deal in order to cut us a check to cover our expense but first he wanted to speak with his GM to see if they would help out. After a few days of not hearing back I called him and he said oh yeah, I was just talking with the boss, I’m caught up in politics, we actually got the vehicle from out WV location, they were the ones who replaced the wheel bearing so my service department doesn’t want to do anything. The WV service didn’t want to do anything because I didn’t drive it back to them to check out so how do they know I’m telling the truth. I said well you get back to me when you figure it out. Never heard back so I called him again. I have yet to hear from him. Needless to say I’m extremely disappointed with their service, all the way around, and will never go back. More
SHADY!!! I decided to buy a new Truck. Before purchasing anything I always do my homework on the vehicle I am interested prior to stepping a foot onto a lot. I I decided to buy a new Truck. Before purchasing anything I always do my homework on the vehicle I am interested prior to stepping a foot onto a lot. I check interest rates, my trades approximate value, etc. When checking my trades value, I check multiple appraisal sites for my trade which is paid off. I check KBB, Edmunds, Black Book, Webuyanycar, Carguru's, etc. I also check the dealers specific appraisal site they use, in this instance Ron Lewis links Black Book. Most appraisal sites list vehicles in 4 categories, Excellent, Very Good, Good, and Fair. The salesman even said after looking at my trade he would put it in the very good category, which is basically just below a brand new car. I give them my keys and let them check out my trade. Mind you I have an idea of what is an extremely low offer to what is a high offer. The sales manager Dave McKivitz, proceeds to use every appraisal site that he can find, to find the lowest possible offer he can use, not Black Book which is linked on their own website. He then comes back with an extremely low offer. I responded back exactly what I would take, not a penny less, and even showed them an email from Black Book that I received using their appraisal site, showing the lowest I should get to the highest I should get. REMEMBER this is from their site. The sales managers offer was about 1500 lower than what their own site was showing I should get. I further explain to this guy I have even averaged all of the other sites estimates out, even including the lowest estimate and it would still be significantly more than what he was offering, about 1900 less than he offered. I even thought to myself, if you have no intention of using this particular appraisal site why is it linked on your website? Just use the lowest site instead. I know the answer to this by the way, it is to get you in the door, once there they give you some xx story and try to rip you off. After going back and forth for about a half hour, I walked out and I told him, you know what I want if you change your mind call and we can move on to the next part of the negotiations. I even said you are not the only Ford dealership out there as I left. I only went to this dealer because it was close to where I live, BIG MISTAKE!! The whole process seemed shady as xxxx. The very next day I went to a reputable dealer Bairel Ford, in Zelienople PA, and made the deal right away. The best part is Ron Lewis in Beaverfalls eventually tried to contact me a week after I had moved on to try and get me to come back in. I am still debating if I should break the news to them that they lost a customer likely for life. More
Epitome of Greasy ad Sleazy This place is an absolute nightmare when attempting to purchase a vehicle. This is the second experience I have had with them and am supremely disappo This place is an absolute nightmare when attempting to purchase a vehicle. This is the second experience I have had with them and am supremely disappointed in myself for having given them an additional opportunity after the first debacle. Without delving too deeply into what occurred during the first transaction, I will basically provide the highlights. I was denied an appraisal number for multiple days. Per common practice, when I arrived for my appointment I handed the keys over to the sales consultant and watched as a sales manager assessed my automobile. I proceeded to wait patiently for over an hour and a half for his decision only to be informed that an appraisal on a vehicle cannot be provided without the General Manager being present. This is an unusual business practice for even the sleaziest of car dealerships. And to add extra insult to injury, I had to approach the same sales manager to find this out. I am curious to know how much longer I would have sat there before he would have let me know that I was leaving empty handed that day. A comment by the Finance Manager was also heard regarding how he hoped the deal would be put off until backup finance was there, as he "wasn't going to make any money on the deal anyway." Now I will proceed to describe what happened with the most recent interaction. I was interested in another vehicle they had on their sales lot, so I made arrangements to have my potential trade vehicle appraised. My vehicle was brought to the Ford dealership prior to even opening for sales business. Needless to say, I was clearly first in line. Shortly after opening the sales team reached out to us to let us know that they were already working on getting the figures together for us. Over three hours went by before I was told that not only did they not have a number on my vehicle, but there was no ETA as the General Manager was again not available. Again, I was only provided this information after we reached out to them for an update. It was then communicated to me that two other customers had arrived at the dealership interested in the same vehicle. Without having been asked at what price we were willing to purchase the vehicle, what our down payment would be, having our credit ran, or even having our vehicle appraised, the day culminated in a sale to another customer. To summarize - I find this dealership's team of managers and their business tactics unprofessional, appalling, and the utter definition of greasy salesmanship. Not only will they never again have the opportunity to earn my patronage, I will make it a habit to educate others with regards to their business practices and treatment of clientele. I will also incorporate the names Chris Peterson and Patrick Kulp with every More
Dishonest , sleazy tactics that cost me time and money! I made the salesman well aware when he had a vehicle available like what I was looking for that it would , sleazy tactics that cost me time and money! I made the salesman well aware when he had a vehicle available like what I was looking for that it would be a 3 hour drive to get there, so he was aware of why I had many specific questions. First, the mileage he told me was off by 10k. I asked about rust and said it was a big concern. He sent me 24 pictures of the truck, even closeups of the tires. You would think an honest person would also send a picture of the obvious rust and amatuer coverup job that was right above the tire. The cab corners were rusting and other rust underneath was obvious by the reflection on the running boards. I didn't bother to check the cross members I had asked about because the misrepresentation of the other stuff was enough for me. When I commented on the rust, he said the cab corners and rockers are good....they are not. No apologies, nothing. I was very clear that if I made the drive, it was to buy. He evaded on an actual price, but stated several times that it was the end of the month, if we made the drive, he promised he would make it worth it. If he misrepresented the obvious, what else would he not tell me about. He said he would not be available until 1:15, so it ended up wasting an entire day. $100 in fuel and something to eat quick on the way home. We spent less than 10 minutes at the dealership. I am fully aware that when buying a used vehicle, they are not perfect, but I was clear in the questions I asked. Not all salse people are bad, but the salesman, Chris, here is why people use the term dishonest. I can't understand why he would withhold information just to look like an xxx when I got there. Lesson learned....DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP More
Terrible service I called these people to buy a truck and they sure wanted to sell me a truck until I asked for a Dealer invoice. Once I asked for that then there hasn I called these people to buy a truck and they sure wanted to sell me a truck until I asked for a Dealer invoice. Once I asked for that then there hasn’t been any communication with them at all. I guess I see why their ratings are not so good. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to buy from here. More

Replace water pump in Ford Escape. I was given a quote for installing a new water pump, made an appointment and took my car in early Monday morning. When I checked on the status later I was given a quote for installing a new water pump, made an appointment and took my car in early Monday morning. When I checked on the status later that day, I was told they didn't have the water pump and had to order one.. Why would they schedule an appointment without the part needed. Ford garage with no part?! Needless to say, I had to leave my car there for another day. I called on Tuesday and was told they didn't have the tool to do the work and would have to order one. Again, Ford garage without the proper tool?! Had to leave my car another day! Called later on Tuesday to be told the car needed a hose, which again they did not have and had to order. Stopped on Wednesday to check status - still did not have the hose and said they were waiting for it. Now in third day to install a water pump. I told them I would just take my car somewhere else for the hose and they said I couldn't do that because it was all torn apart. This has been the worst experience ever for service. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHP TO ANYONE! More
My New GT! Amazing service from the Managers and James Lasky. Being in the auto industry for 20 years I am really harsh on my sales process. I was done with Audi Amazing service from the Managers and James Lasky. Being in the auto industry for 20 years I am really harsh on my sales process. I was done with Audi and decided to get back into a NA big V8 and wanted another GT. James found my car in another state for me, worked all the details to make it work before I even drove an hour and a half out there. Came in, signed and left in my GT. Love it and will say they have surpassed my expectations and going to admit Audi never even made it this easy! More
