I received a notice about a part that was recalled on my vehicle. I followed the instructions and called the service center about the recalled part. The person told me I needed to make an appointment to get vehicle. I followed the instructions and called the service center about the recalled part. The person told me I needed to make an appointment to get the part replaced. I made an appointment for 7 the next morning. When I arrived at the dealership, I was informed that they would need to keep my vehicle for several days and that they did not have the part in stock. WHY would they make an appointment specifically to address a recalled part if they did NOT have the part in stock?!? Also, the letter indicated the replacement would take about an hour, not multiple days. I did not leave my vehicle that day but instead made ANOTHER appointment for the following week to replace the part. When I arrived at my second appointment, the service rep told me that my appointment was for another day and he wasn’t sure if the part had arrived. The part had arrived and they were able to replace the part in a couple of hours. If the part had not been there, I would NOT have gone back a third time to this dealership for the recalled part. More
