Don Hewlett Chevrolet Buick responded

The repair in question is not covered even by a New Vehicle warranty, it is a wear and tear item. Alignments, Torsion bars and associated parts are not covered by the GM Certified Pre-owned warranty. Prior to sale, our service department did inspect the tires, wheels and suspension and found them to be in fine condition during our 172 point inspection. The failure of the suspension part was diagnosed by another dealership out of our area. This dealership determined the repairs were not covered under warranty. The mileage of the vehicle was over 5,000 miles from the mileage of the date of purchase. Wear and tear items that need repair or replacement are part of the expense of vehicle ownership.
