Not sure who I am talking to but I wanted to thank you for the info you have submitted. I am sorry to say that this is not how we do business. I would like to look into the matter myself personaly and see where we missed the boat. If you could send me what your trade was so I am able to talk with my used car manager and and see how he came up with the value he did. Tony, Thank you so much for responding quickly. The basic problem is the hours of operation of maintenance department. I understand that people cannot be expected to work 12 hours days (which is what Evans said you would have to do…that is difficult to believe); however, others and myself work a typical 9 hour day that starts at 8am and ends at 5 pm. We are not able to take-off work to get normal maintenance done on our cars, so we have to work around your schedule...I understand that. However, your maintenance department open at 7 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m.; Georgetown is at least an hour from Austin during rush hour. So, even if I drop off my auto at 7 a.m., I cannot get to work at 8 a.m. and when I leave at 5 p.m.; I cannot get to Hewlett Chevy by 6 p.m. Yesterday, I really tried, but I was 2 minute late; 6:02 p.m. and everyone left. I understand posted hours of operation, but most other car dealers are customer friendly (as I am sure Mike Hewlett wants to be) and provide hours for Austinites. My family and I would like to do business with you...but your hours of operation are limited. Could you have one night during the week when you stay open until 7 p.m. and maybe close early Friday at noon? Interesting to see how many people would use your service and come in between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. I also understand management’s decision not to extend hours, however you will lose my business, sorry.
