No, a 1 star review because the matter of the key sums up the experience as a whole. I was looking for a specific vehicle as a gift for my wife. There were 3 in the entire state. Don Hewlett was not the cheapest, but they had the best before the sale service (props to Chris Short). Being as the dealer is about 3 hours away, I wanted to make sure of the condition of the vehicle before making the drive. There were 2 identical vehicles within 20 miles of each other. The second one was cheaper and had fewer miles, but this one had all 3 original keys and an aftermarket alarm. Major plus and worth the extra bit of $$. So I made the journey. When I got there I stressed that the extra keys and alarm were important. When I spoke with the sales manager I stressed that the extra keys and alarm were important. I showed them where the online listing had a picture of nothing BUT the extra keys and alarm. And I should have left then because it went downhill fast. 6 HOURS I sat there. No food other than the vending machine. No drinks but water. Couldnt leave to go get anything because there wasnt a chance in _____ they would let me have my trade keys back. I am not an inexperienced buyer. I had done the math. I knew my credit score from all 3 bureaus. I knew what my down payment would be. I knew what my monthly payment should be. And then I met the sales manager Garrett. Imagine the old 90's predatory salesmen... thats Garrett. Will say anything to make the sale. He comes back with an idiotic counter offer of more than 50% more down and a payment 25% higher than it should have been. When I told him that it was not what I was going to do he tells me "so get your own financing". Chris knows he is about to lose the sale and goes to bat for me I guess because he tells me he is going to see what can be done. Another hour passes and miraculously the numbers come back exactly where I said they should be. Make the deal, sign the papers, go to get the keys. And I am handed one single key. I ask Chris and he starts checking into it. Comes back and tells me that "they removed the alarm and he cant find the other keys". Except he was lied to. The alarm is still 100% installed. He goes to Garrett and points out that the listing clearly shows the extra keys and the alarm. Garrett gives the typical management BS line "The ad says all vehicles are only guaranteed to come with one key". Scott and I both point out that 3 keys are shown in the ad. I mention that the SOLE reason I chose this dealership is the keys shown in the ad. Garrett replies: "If its a problem I can tear up the contract." At this point it has nothing to do with the keys. Had he said "I'm sorry, we appear to have lost the keys" I would have been annoyed, but understanding. Had he said "I'm sorry, we lost the alarm remotes" I would have been annoyed but understanding. But no, he felt the need to go all cocky and arrogant. He felt the need to LIE TO MY FACE. He felt the need to drag out the fine print instead of simply admitting a mistake might have been made. So now I have to spend $300-$500 to have the alarm removed. I have to spend $200 for a second key. I am not saying to not buy from here. I am saying to deal with ANYONE but Garrett, and make them show you EVERYTHING before you sign anything. They can not be trusted to tell the truth. More

Dropped the truck off and went on a two week vacation, it was not done (none of the work) when I returned and the majority of the work was performed in the two days before I picked it up - I think it mostly just sat while I was on vacation. 1. issue with camera in side mirror, display on dash camera showed flickering video sometimes tinted pink or blue, provided video example of the issue with cell phone. Unable to diagnose or fix. 2. Front brake sensor not displaying on dash. Replaced brake pad sensor but did not verify that this fixed the brake pad life indication on the dash (it did not). Paid $200 deductible but issue was not corrected. Referred me to the company that installed the lift on my truck to diagnose or repair. 3. Transmission shutters when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, sometimes roughly, and from 2nd to 3rd, etc. Dealership acknowledged the issue and did a "relearn" on the transmission. Also suggested fluid service on the front and rear differential as well as the transfer case - truck mileage was close to the 45k mileage threshold where these are recommended. I agreed to have these services done but the transmission shudder is persists and has maybe even gotten slightly worse. Update: I returned to the dealership for the brake sensor issue and it was resolved with new brake sensor cable at no charge. I was pleased that they made an effort to help correct the issues I brought up in the initial review. The camera issue has not repeated itself and the transmission still shudders on occasion after all of the differential, transmission, and transfer case service. I'm not happy about that but it's not necessarily a reflection on the dealership. More
I was extremely pleased with the experience I had in buying my new Equinox. Jake actually called me & asked if I was interested in buying a car. I told him my situation & before long I had signed the pa buying my new Equinox. Jake actually called me & asked if I was interested in buying a car. I told him my situation & before long I had signed the papers for my car that was coming in. I got a fair price on my trade in & Jake helped me through the whole process. I couldn’t have asked for a better salesman then Jake. Jake & Don Hewlett have my business from now on. More
