Mr./Mrs. Brink – Thank you for your recent visit to our Buick service department and thank you for your honest feedback regarding this visit. From these comments it’s easy to see that you are frustrated with the continuing vehicle stalling concerns you are experiencing. As you stated in your comments it was determined by our service staff, and agreed upon by you, that the best first step in attacking this concern would be to perform a throttle body and fuel injection cleaning. In a lot of cases this maintenance service can greatly improve vehicle performance characteristics. Unfortunately, it appears that even after this system cleaning the primary stalling concern is still present. As previously offered we will be glad to take the vehicle back into the shop, perform a deeper diagnostic free of charge and work with you on the pricing of any needed repairs. Dear Mr. Corley: Thank you for sharing your concerns online about your experience here at our dealership. We are very sorry that your Camaro was the target of thieves while it was parked on our secured lot. Apparently locked gates, an 8 foot fence topped with barbed wire and a security camera system can’t prevent a determined thief from gaining entry. There were five vehicles involved in this unfortunate business and one of these belonged to the dealership. As we are also a victim of this crime we certainly understand that it is very upsetting when things like this happen. As you will agree, if your vehicle had been parked at the movies, at the mall or even in front of your house and this theft / damage had occurred there you would need to file a claim on your insurance to cover the loss. Simply put, your vehicle being in our repair facility is a similar situation. You as the vehicle owner carry the primary insurance while your vehicle is in service. It’s unfortunate that you took offense to learning that your insurance was primary. This information was simply shared in an effort to expedite repairs and in no way was meant to be disrespectful. As your Chevrolet dealer, we were and are willing to do the following for you: 1. Obtain and install factory specific replacement wheels and tires. 2. Work with your insurance company through a comprehensive claim to fully repair the related body damage. 3. Provide a vehicle to drive at no charge while we repair your Chevrolet. As previously offered – had we been permitted to do the above repairs, we would have also paid your deductible to help cover your out of pocket expenses. It’s unfortunate at this point that you have chosen to take your car and pursue your own repairs. There is no reason why we could not have worked together to get your vehicle repaired and put this entire situation behind us. This response is in an effort to better clarify the situation and to document the dealership’s offers of assistance. We stand ready to assist you with any and all needed repairs.
