Terrific and Timely Service John High met and surpassed my highest expectations of a Service Department leader. Having dealt with dealer service departments for more than 50 year John High met and surpassed my highest expectations of a Service Department leader. Having dealt with dealer service departments for more than 50 years and personally knowing a number of service advisors/writer during the same time, I was completely blown away by the friendliness, interest and consideration of John and the gentleman who actually saw that to it that the car battery was replaced. John actually opened the car door for my wife and carefully instructed her where both waiting areas were. He then obtained the equipment to charge and check the car battery. I watched him perform the testing as it had been years since I dealt with this particular dealership and was totally amazed at his courteous nature and willingness to answer my questions. Additionally, I had my opinion of the car's transmission troubles explained which greatly relieved my concerns about possible future problems. When he and I learned that the battery was faulty and needed to be replaced he turned me over to the man who wrote the actual order and saw to it that I knew the exact cost I would be charged. When the technician (who did the job knowledgeably and quickly) was finished I learned for the first time in my life that the service writer actually took my credit card and didn't send me to a cashier or someone similar to take my money. I'm impressed almost beyond belief. I told my wife when the job was complete and she, too, was amazed at the alacrity with which the problem was solved. Thank you Don Jackson and your great team. Originally, I was told the water pump is what caused the noise from the engine then 3 days later oh we need to look at the engine but the warranty co would not allow them to look at without my permission and if its not engine related we meaning Don Jackson Dodge Chrystal wants $880 just to look at it and labor. But each time I call and I speak wirh Theresa of course oh I'll call you back for an updated status. More
Very Bad Service Department PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!! I took my '07 Dodge truck in for the Takata airbag recall and for a chime going off every time I turne PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!! I took my '07 Dodge truck in for the Takata airbag recall and for a chime going off every time I turned on a blinker or pressed the brake pedal. They had my truck for 1 month and gave it back to me in the exact condition as I had dropped it off in. Here are the key points from my experience. The Chime: 1) 4 days after dropping it off they called and said I needed 2 new batteries, a new negative cable for one of the batteries, and a new PCM (later they changed it to the PCM needing to be reflashed, not replaced). The batteries are 5 month old Interstate batteries that I knew would be under warranty, so I told them to not replace the batteries, but go ahead and replace the negative battery cable and the PCM if that would fix the chiming. 2) Over the next week I called them 4 times and left 3 messages, no response. At the end of the that week they called and said that they could not do any work on the truck until I replaced the batteries. WHY HAD THEY NOT TOLD ME THIS A WEEK EARLIER??? 3)The next day I picked up the batteries and took them to the Interstate Battery store to get them replaced under warranty. I requested that the dealership print out the readings from their battery tester so that I would have proof of the faulty batteries. The dealership printed one of the readings twice so that both batteries appeared bad (the numbers on each printout were identical), they also used wrong CCA when testing (730CCA instead of the 675CCA stated on the battery). They were either purposely lying to me so that I would buy two new batteries from them, or their technician does not know how to use their equipment (A VERY SIMPLE PIECE OF EQUIPMENT). The Interstate battery dealer confirmed that one of the batteries was in very good shape, and that the second was a little low for its age, so they replaced it free of charge, and charged my good batter overnight to make sure it was 100% as well. 4) Upon returning the 2 good batteries to the dealership, I noticed that they had put grease stains on my driver's seat. I keep my truck in very good shape, so I was furious about this. 5) With the batteries delivered, I asked them again to fix the chime. Another week of calling and leaving messages goes by before I get someone on the phone. The service person knows nothing about my truck, can't locate it on the lot, and says she'll call me back. Then ANOTHER WEEK goes by before I finally get a hold of someone, at which point they tell me they'll call me back in a little while. A while later they call me back and tell me my truck is ready to be picked up. 6) I go to pick up my truck, and the second I step on the brake...Chime!!! Absolutely nothing has changed. I popped the hood and there is still the same old negative battery cable that they said needed replacing. The grease stains they put in my drivers seat were gone though, so kudos on that. The Airbag: 7) I assume they changed the driver side airbag as they stated, but based on points 1-6 above, I will need another dealership to verify this for my piece of mind. Sorry for the long explanation but it is very important to me that others not experience the same poor customer service and low moral character that I encountered with this dealership. More

The automatic doors on the 2014 Compass have fsiled on threes occasions. Each time i had to leave my vehicle n the shop for at least a week or two. Now the fourth time. Thry want me to pay $110.00 for a diagnostic check. Hello! This is an ongoing problem. I contacted chrysler and they gave me an appt two months later. I've had several dealings with the service department here, both with my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and my 2008 Town & Country. For routine service - oil change, tire rotation, etc - they're fine. You'll here, both with my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and my 2008 Town & Country. For routine service - oil change, tire rotation, etc - they're fine. You'll be happy, although you'll probably have to wait longer than the service writers tell you. On the other hand - for anything that is NOT routine maintenance - STAY AWAY. I had several issues with my Jeep that they could not solve. I took it there on 2 separate occassions for rough idling - they charged me each time, saying they'd fixed the problem - and both times the problem was back in less than 100 miles. They refused to credit me, saying the work they performed needed to be done, even when the problem I took it to them for was not solved. I finally fixed the problem MYSELF, after doing some online research and watching a few Youtube videos of how to fix the problem. I took my Jeep back to show the service manager and to explain how I had fixed it - he became extremely defensive, telling me how many years he'd been running a service department and all the awards he had won, and belittling me. He is a complete jerk and you can tell the service writers must not enjoy working for him because the attitude here is horrible. With my Chrysler mini van, I took it there on 2 occassions to get the middle row heated seat fixed - the communication I received from them was horrible, they kept my van for 4 days to fix something that should've taken 1 day to fix, and I still had to come back when the parts they incorrectly ordered hadn't arrived. Go there if you want....but at your own risk. I've found another local Chrysler dealer where I get treated better, where they fix my vehicles right the FIRST time, and where if they make a mistake - they apologize and are sincerely interested in my customer satisfaction. I'll never darken the doors again at Don Jackson, and I wouldn't wish them upon any friend or family member. More
