I had to replace the engine shield - under the car of my 2017 Elantra. I checked with the parts department for availability and they had the part, so I was told to make an appointment and bring the car in. 2017 Elantra. The service adviser ( name not known ) told me they will charge $ 110 to replace the part. my appointment was at 11:30 am today (8/10/2022). I was there by that time and a girl (Jasmine ) came out to help me. After getting the details she asked me to sit n wait until one of the service advisers will check in the car. I was waiting until 12:30 pm no one called me. (Maybe Jasmine thought I came to the dealership to watch TV and relax ). I went to the counter and talk to the girl who was there. She checked and told me that no one has checked in my car but said " I will do it right now", then I told her that the service adviser told me they will charge $ 110 to replace it. She said that their charge per hour is $ 210. That means they will charge $ 210 to replace the part. I asked her to keep the promise and am not going to pay $ 210 for this simple job. So asked her to bring the car out for me to buy the part and leave. I bought the part ( invoice # 126483 ) and left the dealership. I was in this dealership previously on two occasions and have no complaints about those. * ( invoice # 111454 - 25 May 2021 - Service Advisor - Jaclyn Fernandez- 370 ) * ( invoice # 305768 - 13 July 2022 - Alexander Abarca - 740) Within half a mile from the dealership that there is an auto repair shop. I went there and asked them to replace this part. They did it right and charged $ 20 only & took just 15 minutes to do the job. This is an example of how dealerships rip off customers. 60 mints vs 15 mints / $ 210 vs $ 20 I never ever step into this Dealership again. They don't deserve any star but unfortunately, I don't have any option other than giving 'ONE STAR'. ( I checked with Mission Hills Hyundai - they charge $ 90 to replace this part ) More

If I knew buying from Downey Hyundai was going to be a nightmare I would’ve never done business here. They’ve had my car for 4 months, and my car is still spazzing out the next day of pick up. They claim to have done a test drive but yet, the next day after pick up my car shut down and now my car is shaking uncontrollably and my engine light is on. On top of this, the service manager Angel, is unprofessional and unqualified to have that position. He was extremely rude and unhelpful when explaining my car issues and why I was dissatisfied with the service I was being given. He would not let me finish any of my sentences and kept cutting me off, and had a horrible attitude towards an upset customer. I do not recommend Downey Hyundai and I would never purchase here again. More
