I will start off with stating that the sales team and staff were courteous and professional. However, before driving 28 miles to Downey to negotiate prices, I decided to call their fleet manager, Adam. W staff were courteous and professional. We confirmed their absolute best and lowest price on the lease of the 2020 Sonata hybrid, and after two quick phone calls to surrounding dealership, I was automatically quoted $35-40 less per month on the exact same MSRP vehicle. This was approximately $1,300 less in total. Needless to say, I was experiencing the "haggle" that I was promised that I wouldn't get. Eventually the price was matched, and I went down to pick up the car. So I felt the typical dishonesty from the dealership that consumers have come to expect. While other dealerships gave me their bottom line price right off the bat, I had to show proof to Adam that they were asking $40 more per month for the exact same car. Upon delivery, I noticed some scuff marks on the C pillar driver side. Daniel Saab, who was very courteous as well, tried to remove it, but said they couldn't and that I'd have to drive back to Downey when their detailor/buff man was available to remove it. The following day I asked Adam if he'd be willing to pay for a mobile detailor to come to my residence and remove this, and he indicated that they couldn't. This left a very poor taste, as the car was not delivered in showroom condition with those marks, and I was asked to go out of my way and spend priceless time to fix something that really is their responsibility. Coupled with the fact that I was initially hoodwinked when I was promised a fair and transparent buying experience, I would definitely recommend other dealerships for their Hyundai vehicle purchase. More

I was so disappointed in the last service at Downey Hyundai. I had the oil changed. The morning after the oil change I found a puddle of oil under the car. I thought that the mechanic might have spille Hyundai. I had the oil changed. The morning after the oil change I found a puddle of oil under the car. I thought that the mechanic might have spilled some oil during the oil change? The following morning I found another puddle of oil under the car. I drove to a Jiffy Lube two blocks from the house. Jiffy Lube checked the Filter and Drain Plug for the leak? Jiffy Lube found the Drain Plug was only Finger tight!! They tightened the Drain Plug, Topped off the oil and sent me on my way with “No Charge”. I will never have my car serviced at Downey Hyundai again!!! The engine in my car would have been severely damaged or Destroyed if the Drain Plug would have fallen out!! More
