Ravi Malhorta, Internet Manager -- Successful Lease Return Although I previously had an unpleasant experience with Downey Hyundai (formerly Commerce Hyundai), I was forced to rely on the dealership to return m Although I previously had an unpleasant experience with Downey Hyundai (formerly Commerce Hyundai), I was forced to rely on the dealership to return my leased 2016 Sonata: impending hip surgery and Covid-19. However, I was unexpectedly yet pleasantly surprised when Ravi Malhorta, Internet Manager, called and emailed me in advance of my lease end date. After explaining my situation with refinancing my house, upcoming surgery and lease-end, Ravi became my "Hyundai Hero"! Ravi asked very important and specific questions about what I wanted (keep lease, buy the 2016, New lease or new purchase). He then got real detailed and asked me to visualize "my" car. Happy with my 2016 Sonata and good reviews of the 2020 Sonata, I decided to purchase a new car, with exactly what I wanted. RAVI DELIVERED! He recommended a 2020 Sonata SEL and he found a BEAUTY! He did everything online, then delivered the new car and signed paperwork on my front porch, right before my surgery!! Ravi even checked on me via text after surgery to see how I was feeling. Service Dept is great but the wait was way too long I love the Service Department at Downey Hyundai. Everyone is very helpful and upfront. My only disappointment this visit was that I made an appointm I love the Service Department at Downey Hyundai. Everyone is very helpful and upfront. My only disappointment this visit was that I made an appointment for 1115AM, and as I was checking the car in, was informed that because of backups from the morning that my car would be ready around 130PM. Over 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. I get that you want to get as much business as possible, and if I was a walkup that it might be longer, but to have it be over 2 hours with an appointment did not make me feel very good about continuing my auto servicing here. Will need to re-evaluate. More
