I brought my vehicle in for service on 12/3- my 2022 WRX was due for its 30k mile check up. The service advisor John handed me a tablet with three items on it, and made it seems like all three items were re was due for its 30k mile check up. The service advisor John handed me a tablet with three items on it, and made it seems like all three items were required. The additional services were a "fuel injection cleaning" and an alignment. The first problem I have is with the 30k mile service itself. There were a few things their inspection did NOT catch, and were not notated in their system. These items that should have been caught during the inspection itself are as follows 1. The key fob battery is dying, as indicated on the dashboard 2. There is a lug stud that is chipped on the left front of the vehicle, which should have been caught and addressed, and was not. 3. The battery for the vehicle is losing cold cranking amps, and will need to be replaced soon. 4. The TPMS light is illuminated on the dashboard, which was not mentioned on the ticket or anywhere on the notes- this should have been mentioned. The second service sold was the fuel injection cleaner- the cleaner itself was 90$, and I was then charged $223.77 for them to put it into the system- an hour and a half of labor for that? Really? Overpriced and something that I could have done myself but was sold to me as part of the "necessary services" on the WRX. Third was the Alignment. Not only was I not provided a spec sheet for the alignment but there was only a vague mention of issues with the "caster" on the vehicle. For those in the know, caster is how the suspensions is centered on the vehicle, and helps with straight line handling as well as handling during cornering. It is not adjustable even though the technician stated it was out of spec, and without that spec sheet I don't believe that the Alignment was completed on the vehicle although I was charged $150 for it. Lastly, there was a shop fee of 75$- though there was no explanation of what these supplies were for. The Ford dealership I deal with frequently has only ever charged me 32$, and they have a breakdown of these costs on their sheet. I work for a body shop. My job every day is to justify the repairs we complete on cars with proof of repairs, invoices, line by line items, and an explanation of every single item placed onto a vehicle because without these things, I will not get paid by the customer or by the insurance company. Transparency with your customers is key in business, and I would caution you to be careful in who you deal witg so you do not get taken advantage of when bringing your vehicle to a shop for any kind of work. I was very disappointed with the deception used in soliciting and charging for routine service. I received multiple solicitations for the routine service for my 2021 Subaru with less than 12,000 mile soliciting and charging for routine service. I received multiple solicitations for the routine service for my 2021 Subaru with less than 12,000 miles. Each solicitation touted the $94 price and promised a courtesy carwash and vacuuming. Neither was provided. There was an automatic upcharge for shop supplies in the amount of $9 which was not disclosed in the solicitation materials even though one such fancy brochure contained an * to a footnote which purported to list all the exclusions (e.g., sales tax) from the quoted price. That same brochure also purported to include a listing of several competitors' prices for the same service, again linked to the exclusionary footnote that failed to list the shop charge as being excluded. Comparing "apples" to "apples" was thus made impossible by this deceptive pricing. But, oh, yes, a day before I booked my service appointment, I received an email informing me that if I booked Monday-Thursday, I would receive 10% off any service. I ultimately did receive the 10% off, but not off the shop supplies charge--another deception in advertising. But guess what, if I had opted for the purchase of an air filter at the time of my purchase, the shop supplies bogus charge gets reduced to $6 from $9, according to a quote I received from the so-called service consultant. He did not specifically mention the $3 reduction in the shop supplies charge, instead focusing on the extra quite high charge for the air filter. Does it make any logical sense for the shop supplies charge actually to go down when more labor and parts are requested? Logically, there would be the need for more more--not less--shop supplies when more work is done. Right??? This dealer's pricing is totally deceptive (and irrational). I am presently considering filing a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General's Office for unfair and deceptive practices under IC 24-5. AS YOU MIGHT SURMISE, I AM AN ATTORNEY WHO PRACTICED EXTENSIVELY IN CONSUMER LAW. As an aside, I am in the market for a new 2025 Subaru Forester and was considering getting a quotation while I was at the dealership. I guess will return to Falcone Subaru, even though it is further away from my home. At least there, I am treated honestly and fairly, without deceptive pricing and there I would receive the free carwash. More

i have a VW that i do not drive in the winter. it had not been holding a charge, so i had it towed to another repair shop. they were unable to locate the issue after swapping my battery for which it had not been holding a charge, so i had it towed to another repair shop. they were unable to locate the issue after swapping my battery for which was under warranty. it drained the new battery as well. advised it was an electrical issue. so i decided to take it the VW dealership Dreyer and Reinbold and asked for an electric diagnostic after telling them about replacing the warranted battery twice. the service rep Alex, advised it was probably the batter and treated me like i didnt just tell him what had already been done. they contacted me to tell me it was the battery and that a new one needed to be put in. i advised again that the current battery was under warranty. there excuse was it was not a VW battery. my husband said put in "your" VW battery, drive it and then try to restart. was advised that it worked perfectly and was told it was ready for pick up. went to pick up paid 544.00 for diganostic (mind you i do not think this was done). and new VW battery. someone went to retrieve the car, and guess what it would not start. SO, left the car there, got a refund. after a week back and forth, was told that my radio was draining the battery. i had them unhook it and i will purchase somewhere else. went to pick up, yes it works great now, my 2 day old battery was disposed of that was under warranty, and i was still required to pay the 544. asked to speak to a manager who was also rude, and stated that they did not find the problem the first time. (is that because they checked the battery and nothing else). i asked that he should at least take something off my bill. his rudest response was well after we changed the battery it sat here for a week correct? so basically he is saying since it sat a week it is my fault the car wouldnt start after supposedly having a electrical diagnostic test at 199.99and he flat out and rudely said NO. i paid so i could get my vehicle, but i will never return to this location, and i will tell everyone i know to avoid them at all cost. GO SOMEWHERE else. they are rude and money hungry. a unhappy customer will tell people their experience more than a happy customer. no one went out of their way to make me "a happy customer". More
