I’ll start with the TLDR update (since it’s an exhausting review), though feel free to read-on w/ the detailed update below if you wish to feel my pain: TLDR: Advisor I’ve never worked with prior (followi review), though feel free to read-on w/ the detailed update below if you wish to feel my pain: TLDR: Advisor I’ve never worked with prior (following dropping off my daughter’s vehicle for a check engine light) asked my daughter to sign off on a nearly $5k maintenance to “tear down the engine to investigate the head gasket.” We of course were suspicious (this is a Toyota & why we purchased Toyota’s for reliability), calling 3 other Toyota specialty shops (ALL who said ALREADY? & that this was very rare/unusual), with one of the shops (following comprehensive diagnosis) stating, "I can tell you with 100% certainty, your gasket is not the issue… Issues with misfires were isolated to loosely secured & oxidized 3rd party plugs & nothing more… Upon replacement/clearing lights, the vehicle has been running flawlessly for over a month… Detailed Update: My daughter's Corolla displayed a check engine light less than two weeks after scheduled maintenance at Dublin Toyota, where the vehicle had been previously signed off as "Perfect/No Issues." I performed initial diagnostics w/ my OBD2, which isolated misfires (primarily w/ cylinder 3) suggested checking/replacing spark plugs/coils. I scheduled service w/ Dublin Toyota for further diagnosis, with the vehicle managed by an advisor we’ve never dealt with before (I won’t name him outright, since it doesn’t matter anyway / “one bad apple”). Within a day or so, the advisor called my daughter directly to approve a $4,800 quote for a head gasket replacement. The advisor stated the cost could exceed $4,800 following engine tear-down (depending on what else they may find), sending links for financing options and following up daily with texts. They later trimmed $300 from the quote. These daily calls/texts felt like pressured sales tactics which raised a massive red flag. Despite being told by the advisor that the car was not safe/should not be driven, I retrieved the vehicle ($250 out of pocket for the "diagnosis") while the advisor was on vacation. The Dublin Toyota Report only mentioned a simple combustion leak test citing excessive hydrocarbons, recommending a complete teardown of the engine to review the gasket. I had contacted (3) other mechanics (all of whom specialized w/ Toyota & stated the same thing after relaying the Make/Model/Years/Mileage, etc…, i.e.: “ALREADY?” The independent mechanic we chose (master mechanic referred/trusted to by a close family friend) ran more comprehensive tests, including a seven-minute combustion leak test (revving to around 2500 RPMs) where the color never changed (remaining bright blue). Their high level report (though more tests were performed) provided the following feedback: * Block test determined no evidence of excessive hydrocarbons * Engine Oil = CLEAN * They stated that our coolant was completely full & typically drains quickly with head gasket leaks. * Spark plugs, however, revealed that one of the plugs was so loose they barely needed a tool to remove. They took side-by-side pictures of the plugs, with Plug 3 being discolored, and so loose that the engine was not fully sealed, stating that this would absolutely result in a misfire. * They also ran a borescope into Plug 3’s bay (providing me with the video) and stated, "I can tell you with 100% certainty that it is not the gasket," stating again that the loose and corroded plug is the likely root cause (then swapped our plugs with Toyota OEM 90919-01275). * As an extra test, they even swapped the Cylinder 3 and Cylinder 4 coils as well (with the new plugs) and cleared the codes. It's been about a month since this service, and the car has been running flawlessly following the spark plug replacement, with check engine lights not returning. I am disappointed, and as a result, I will be finding another (now inconvenient vs local) location to service my vehicles. Shame… More
I got ripped off by this dealership, lost $5,500. They sold me a used car, within two days I returned it, and they charged me $5,500. One manager said to return I have to pay tax and registration fee, I agreed. Later they changed mind bought back for the same car $2000 less. Plus, tax and registration fee. I even bought a new car form them. and they promise to reduce $1000, but they lied. More

Not recommended. I was looking to purchase a used car. I was curious about trade in values so I completed form online prior to my visit. An offer was generated based I was looking to purchase a used car. I was curious about trade in values so I completed form online prior to my visit. An offer was generated based on VIN, mileage, and current condition of vehicle. We have done this before on other cars, and after dealer inspection, the offer has always been within a couple hundred dollars. Test drove car the used vehicle and was ready to have paperwork processed. Eric, the salesperson, does the typical I have to talk to my manager and comes back with a trade in offer that was almost half of what the email offer was. This was not acceptable to me and I felt like I had been lured in by their original email offer. Eric then goes back, talked to his manager again and tells me the car I was trading in doesn't even sell for ten thousand dollars. This is absolutely false as I found multiple online that were selling for 2x more than their low trade in offer, and even several thousand more than the originalemail trade in offer. Anyways, I'm not gonna sit there and play back-and-forth with a dealership this dishonest so I left. This this should have been a simple, straight, clean transaction. These guys are slimy, and were a big waste of my time. I would not waste my time unless you want to be taken advantage of and lied to. There are way too many other Toyota dealerships in the area to spend money at. More

They offer a good selection of new cars, their warranty packages are amazing, and their pricing on the cars is competitive yet straight-forward. I have now been getting my car serviced there every 5k miles over the past many years, and all service appointments have been fully covered by their warranty package. I have also looked at number of other Toyota dealerships in the Bay Area, and after over 12 years of getting their service and sales, I can say confidentally that they are the best Toyota dealer in the Bay Area. Not a shread of doubt on that one! If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and that has been my motto in staying with them for a very long time now. Thanks Dublin Toyota - I just wish other dealerships would emulate everything that you guys do! More
Was shopping for a car, popular model, RAV4 Prime XSE premium package. I had contacted many dealerships and inventory on this current package is low/ waiting on delivery from the factory at many dealersh premium package. I had contacted many dealerships and inventory on this current package is low/ waiting on delivery from the factory at many dealerships. Dublin happened to have one in stock. A sales director jumped in after I'd been communicating to a salesman that I'd already put in a deposit on one in So Cal for one at MSRP but would consider shopping locally at Dublin if they could beat the price by back of MSRP of at least $1k. The sales director told me, sure we got you, just come in. I told them no, not until I saw or got details on the deal. 2.5 days later of texting, phone calls telling me to talk to them on their cell phones (not thru the dealership lines so the calls and texts can't be recorded) - we finally talk and the director brags how they sold 2 primes, neither premium at above $5k over MSRP and would not be willing to go below MSRP on a premium model for me. This dealership really tries to bully you into getting into the high pressure dealership + baits and switches the deals around on you. Several times I was told oh no, that car's sold and not available yet during the phone call - had I agreed to MSRP, it would be ready today and "I can prep it today for you". I much rather spend the money on a flight to So Cal and deal with folks who don't try to pressure you into the dealership and give you a fair deal and don't brag about getting thousands over MSRP on their local customers. "Doin' It Right!" should be changed to "Doin' It Right for Ourselves and Not You in Dublin Toyota!" (by the way, I secured a much better deal in Southern Calfornia thousands of dollars below MSRP). Thanks a lot Dublin! More
We called about buying a car at MSRP and they said no you must pay the dealer markup. The last day of the month they called us and said come and get it for MSRP. They insisted that it would be first come must pay the dealer markup. The last day of the month they called us and said come and get it for MSRP. They insisted that it would be first come first served on the car and would not take a deposit to hold it while we drove 2 and a half hours to buy it. NEVER trust a Car Dealer in CA!!! Fifteen minutes before we arrived they called and said that someone was looking at it and would not hold it for us for 15 minutes. When we got there, they told us that it was sold, but we can reserve one for you that is being built. Are you kidding me! We drove 2 and half hours and you would not wait 15 minutes for us to arrive and you sold it. I would NEVER do business with thus Dealership!!! I am very disappointed that Toyota a top tier manufacturer allows their Dealers to act in such a way. This Dealer should be told that they need to sell to someone who will represent Toyota with Integrity. More

My service Advisor Eric Davidson didn't even say good morning or greet me. My car was here to be diagnosed for something. He said he may have an answer by 9am but never called me. I called him at 9:26am and he stated, "I'll get back to you soon". Didn't get back to me until 10am. Apparently, he had an identity problem with someone else responding to my name & paying for my job. So, he was in a "foul" mood and never apologized for that incident. I understand mistakes can be made, but it would have been nice to have an apology for his customer mis-identity incident. The other Service Advisors in the past were excellent-very personable. As a woman and a minority, I found my service advisor's behavior unacceptable. More
I worked with Moe Belhachi, the Floor Manager, for months. He told me that they were the biggest Toyota Dealers in the Bay area, and I should buy a Toyota Camry Hybrid from him. I believed him. I w months. He told me that they were the biggest Toyota Dealers in the Bay area, and I should buy a Toyota Camry Hybrid from him. I believed him. I wanted a blue car, so he acted like they were available if I was patient. (I do not even know if they made 2023 Camry Hybrids in blue.) I waited 10 MONTHS because he kept telling me that the car would come in "6 to 8 weeks". In the meantime, he tried to sell me other used cars. I bought the car that I wanted from another dealer when I realized that this man did not have my best interests at heart. At least, my $500 deposit was returned. That is the most positive thing that I can say. More
