I was doubtful that an honest car dealer even existed, but Earl Stewart Toyota is the proverbial unicorn. I found the used car model I'd been looking for at a fantastic price. Doug Fleck took my call and assured me the price was legit, not an error. Solely on my word, he offered to hold it until I could get to the dealership the next day. Not a trivial matter since I was flying cross-country for a business trip. He met with me while we looked over the car, and answered my questions. Some of these were to test his honesty - I already knew the answer since I'd researched the model pretty thoroughly. Rather than obfuscate or lie when I asked a question he couldn't answer, he told me he didn't know but he'd find out the answer and get back to me. And did so later in the day. Both he and Amber Gribbons stayed well past closing hours to help finalize my purchase. Their no-haggle pricing wasn't even an issue because I doubt I could've negotiated a better price (approx 10% under KBB estimate for a private party sale). Amber walked me through all the additional steps which would have to take place for an out-of-state purchase. The car (26k miles) was in fantastic shape too - their service department had detailed it and replaced many components with new OEM parts (including the tires). Friends who've been in it have commented that it seems like a new car. More
