I had a preapproval from capital one I went to the dealer picked out the truck i wanted they ran my credit asked how much down payment I could put down and now they don’t respond to me. Marcos and Karl offered us a price on a car that they said would not change (in writing!), so we spent money on a pre-purchase inspection with a third party mechanic, which Marcos and Karl knew about and agreed to. The inspection cost me $175. This inspection revealed some problems with the car, including that the main control knobs for the screen don't work. Karl and Marcos came back to us saying they would fix the issues, and we said okay. Then after a day they told us it was actually too expensive to fix, and they could no longer honor us the same price. A little disappointing since they said the price wouldn't change, but we understood to some degree. We asked, though, that they at least refund our inspection money since they're using the knowledge from it to fix the car and sell for a higher price. We contacted them several times offering them a chance to rectify this. They ghosted us. We've reported them to the BBB and want to warn you not to work with East County if you are looking for an honest experience. More
