I was recently in a MVA and in need of a new car right away. I went to Paul Conte Chevy in Freeport NY to look at and price the Cruze. I walked in and never went to look at any other makes. I was introduced to Ralph Montanino who help me with my purchase. I was looking for a Cruze LTZ but due to Hurricane Sandy that hit out area in Oct 2012 Cruze models were scarce and to order one I would have to wait 6 to 8 weeks. I am a very picking person and was very particular about what color I wanted (white) and what features I wanted in the car and did not want in the car. Ralph immediately did a search for the Cruze LTZ in white since Paul Conte only had 2 Cruze's in the showroom, 1 LTZ in gray and 1 LT in black. Ralph was extremely helpful in trying to find a Cruze with the best price. I must say agin how difficult I was in not budging on color. Ralph was able to find the Cruze with all the feature I wanted and priced better but not in white and I would not take it. I was very much set on a white LTZ. The car we settled on that day was indeed a white Cruze LTZ but had some features I did not want ( sunroof, navigation, chrome door handles). Ralph was excellent in explaining that most all of the cars on the lots now were going to have all of the high end features especially the LTZ models due to the high volume of cars sold because of the hurricane. I left a down payment and Ralph insured me he would reach out to the other dealers to get me the car. I went home that night and pondered the car and my ridiculous reasons for not budging on color even if I was now going to be paying for features I did not want and probably would not use. The next morning I went back to Paul Conte to see Ralph, I discussed with him that I will budge on color and some higher end features that the LTZ offered in order to get the best price and not go over my budget. Ralph asked me which features I absolutely wanted and which ones were up for negotiation. I told him I would go down to the 1LT if I could get a better price and omit the features I absolutely did not want. He then took me over to the 1LT model on the showroom floor in black. I liked the LTZ and its features but I LOVE this car. It looks sleeker in black and all around is exactly what I wanted. I was able to pick up the car the very next day ( I had to be a work that day so was unable to stay and take it home the same day). When I picked up the car Ralph sat with me and explained all the features, where to locate them on the console and how to use them all. He also helped me in setting up the Onstar. If not for Ralph I would have purchased a car and regretted it later instead of purchasing the the perfect car that I absolutely LOVE. I feel I was give the up most customer service while at Paul Conte Chevy from Ralph and the rest of the staff. I got exactly the car I wanted. Ralph was able to get me the best price allowing me to stay with in my budget and even with me being very difficult and picky he never got frustrated or tried to talk me out of the features I wanted or talk me into the features I did not want. I will be recommending Paul Conte Chevy and Ralph Montanio to anyone I know who is looking to buy a car. More
