I came to Paul Conte Chevrolet because I was looking for a pre-owned Tahoe or Suburban as I'm about to have my third child and our two sedans just are I came to Paul Conte Chevrolet because I was looking for a pre-owned Tahoe or Suburban as I'm about to have my third child and our two sedans just aren't going to cut it any longer. Unfortunately, while I still plan to get one of the larger trucks within the next year, I found the Tahoes a bit outside my preferred price range with the baby on the way and my older son needing braces. Michael Columbel recommended the Traverse, a vehicle that I had not previously considered, but I'm glad he did as this crossover isn't as large as the trucks I initially had my eye on which means my wife will not be intimidated driving it. When I do finally get my truck next year, I'll sell my Malibu and she will drive the Traverse. I didn't reach a decision during my initial visit, but I got a call from Mike's boss Dennis, who wanted to let me know about a 2011 Traverse they just got in which I could have at a lower price point than the 2012 and 2013 models Mike had shown me. I came back with my wife and Mike took us out for a test drive. The vehicle drove really well, but we initially turned it down as this was the rare FWD model and we wanted AWD. A week later I called back to see if any new AWD models came in that he could sell for a similar price. Mike wasn't in that day, but Dennis said he would lower the price on the FWD Traverse if that helped. Again we said no, but a few days later we reconsidered and came back with a counter offer, which to my surprise they came very close to meeting. In the end, I ended up getting a really good price on the car and Mike came out with me to show me how all of the little buttons on the wheel and dash work, helped me set up Onstar, Bluetooth, etc. and made sure I didn't leave with any questions unanswered. Considering the sale had already been completed at that point, I found his continued courtesy and attention to be very professional and it was immensely appreciated as the time he spent with me in the car going over everything could have been spent working on another prospective sale. He even provided me with a "we owe" certificate to have a second key and fob made up as a backup in case one gets lost or damaged. I expected to have to pay additional for it, but Mike was willing to accommodate my request without any hassle. Only minor issue I had was with the window controls on the driver panel. The switch seems to be going, but when I mentioned this Mike went out to check the vehicle and said it was working fine and that it was probably just a little tight from not being used in a while. I accepted this and bought the car without checking again, which was probably a mistake on my part as the issue remains. However, I do not believe Mike was lying to me. Due to the nature of the intermittent issue (it does work about 20% of the time), I suspect Michael may not have encountered this problem when he checked it. In any case, I called service and made an appointment to bring it in on Tuesday morning and the woman with whom I made the appointment confirmed that it should be an easy fix and that it will be covered under my bumper to bumper warranty so its a non-issue. All in all, Paul Conte Chevrolet has done right by me. There sales staff, even beyond Mike and Dennis, were all exceptionally friendly. Sure, this is a business and they are there to make money, but they treat their customers right. I shopped around considerably before buying this car and you wouldn't believe the kinds of shady stuff some of the other dealerships and car lots tried to pull on me. Barring any unforeseen financial issues, I expect to buy the AWD truck I've wanted next summer and, based on this experience, I plan to make Paul Conte my first (and likely only) stop when the time comes. More

A pleasant car buying experience I was looking to purchase a used, yet reliable car that would be used primarily by my 18 year old daughter. We were lucky enough to work with Christian who was helpful, understanding and had a great sense of humor (which is appreciated by anyone shopping with his/her teenage daughter). With the help and guidance of Christian my daughter learned that the white car she so desperately wanted would not give her the safety and "extras" that the blue Jeep Compass would provide ( for the same price of the less superior white one). Christian listened to us, stayed within our budget and honestly made us laugh throughout a rather "trying" milestone in a parent's life of a teenager. Ask for Christian at Paul Conte Chevrolet! More
