Dear scienceteach, One of the reasons why our No Appointment Necessary position has been so positive for us is that we can handle oil changes and minor services rather easily. Our team did not remember your call in so they could not indicate if there were additional services that were requested which were not as minor as we communicate. I've shown your comments to our general manager, Mike Marrazzo, and he has asked that you call him at your convenience at 516-623-9600, or provide me a phone number and I'll have him call you. Dear Valerie, Your business is important to us and we take what you said very seriously. We identified the coolant leak issue and, with your approval, repaired the leak and cleaned the area so no more coolant would leak onto your exhaust. The second issue we identified when you returned the vehicle back to us two days later and after we learned about an outside repair shop that worked on your vehicle's turbo. It is the turbo oil line that is causing oil to leak onto your exhaust. We expect this second repair to solve the multiple leak issue. It was relayed to me we are working on an offer for you which will be communicated by your service writer. We thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Dear Valerie, Thank you so much for writing back to me. I'm told one of our best mechanics worked on your vehicle and made the diagnosis. Mario is a great mechanic and I do trust him. I'm so sorry we didn't repair both leaks at the same time. We appreciate our relationship with you and we want to make you happy. Will the offer Ethan communicated to you make you happy? Dear Elizabeth, Thanks for letting us know of your disappointment. We don’t set out to frustrate customers. Your input gave us time to research what occurred. There are a few things happening here. First, you did not purchase your vehicle from us. We will absolutely repair your vehicle; however, we offer VIP customer service which prioritizes our customers who purchased their vehicles from us. Second, we scanned your vehicle’s computer on 6/2 and identified a “cold start misfire” code, which requires an “A” technician to repair. One of our “A” techs was next available to work on your vehicle on or possibly before 6/4. Third, a loaner vehicle or alternate transportation would be available to you under your 3-year/36,000 mile warranty. As of this time, the earliest a loaner vehicle was available was 7/11. Fourth, there are possible situations where you may be subject to a diagnostic fee, including if the repair is not covered by your warranty. Ethan was simply conveying this to you. To be fully transparent, we require our personnel to convey this to customers. It was not meant to scam you out of any money. Fifth, I’m sorry you believe your vehicle reeked of greasy fast food when you picked it up. Our employees are prohibited from using customer vehicles for anything other than their intended repair. We did not use your vehicle for anything besides that. We wish you the best. Sincerely, Phil Wolhar Chief Marketing Officer East Hills Auto Group pwolhar@easthillsjeep.com

Dear Mr. Lonnie, I’m reading what you wrote and it does not make sense. If you got a nail in your tire AFTER the tire rotation – as you wrote -- then of course it would be in the same tire 3 weeks later, unless you had a subsequent tire rotation. Our technician performed your tire rotation, but no one can predict what happens when you drive off. From a different angle… if you got a nail in your tire BEFORE your tire rotation, we presume you would let us know about the nail and we would have repaired it. There was no nail, so there was nothing to repair. From an even different angle, if you’re suggesting a nail was in your tire due to something we did, why would you wait 3 weeks to let us know? This is a safety concern. And from all the reviews you’ve written on Yelp, it doesn’t seem like you to delay your feelings. But better yet, when you called us yesterday to tell us we didn’t rotate your tires and, “What are you going to do for me?”, why did you reject any apologies and offers to help you as a good faith gesture? Worse, why did you threaten to go online and write negative reviews if we didn’t put a performance package on your truck for a 25% parts discount plus free installation? We'll gladly re-rotate your tires. Just let us know. Sincerely, Phil Wolhar Chief Marketing Officer East Hills Auto Group pwolhar@easthillsjeep.com

Dear Mando16, I had a meeting scheduled for you to review footage from our security cameras to determine whether or not we might have caused the alleged damage. For the meeting to occur, I asked you to remove all the negative reviews you and your friends and family had placed online as a goodwill measure. I spoke with you on a Saturday morning. The meeting was set for a Wednesday morning. By Monday evening, the reviews had not been removed so I cancelled the meeting with you. I told your Dad I was the only person who could help you and his decision to cyber bully might cost you the meeting and any consideration that might come out of the meeting. As of Tuesday morning, there were still reviews up. I do not know why you refused to communicate the news. Dear Jessica, Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. I appreciate what you wrote and the shout out to Ronny. I received the below response to your review from my Service Manager: "She brought in the car with a stalling concern. At first we found a purge valve leaking which was covered under emissions warranty. She came back a week later stating the car was bucking with a check engine light on again. Going deeper we found an issue with excessive blow-by (Air getting past the piston rings) in the engine. At this point we took the valve cover off to start doing extensive diagnostics and we found a massive amount of sludge in the engine. We asked her to provide record of maintenance, which she could not do. I believe she never changed the oil in the 35,000 miles she owned the car. She never claimed the 2 free oil changes she has with GM. With the amount of sludge in the engine we did recommend an engine replacement. In her statement, in my opinion, she is clearly lying about the repairs the outside shop did maybe besides the spark plugs, which would be a band-aid fix because the new plugs will get caked with oil in time and cause the same concern she has now. There's no way she had "engine modules" replaced either." Google is not allowing me to upload the photos of your vehicle's engine that we took. The hours alone to clean up your engine would be more than the cost of a new engine. This doesn't really leave us anywhere. We have a difference of opinion on how to repair your Chevy Trax. I hope what the outside garage did will fix the issue once and for all for the long term. Should it not, I would appreciate the opportunity to assist you further. Dear Deemax1, Thank you for working with us throughout the day to make sure your vehicle was viewed, diagnosed and repaired. I'm sorry you disagreed with the labor charges. It sounds like we fixed what was ailing your vehicle, though. I cannot determine if you spoke with a manager when the price was given to you and whether or not there was any consideration offered from our company. I would be happy to intervene should you choose. Sincerely, Phil Wolhar Chief Marketing Officer East Hills Auto Group pwolhar@easthillsjeep.com
