I had originally arrived at Donaldson's looking to purchase a Golf R and also debate Volkswagen with someone who actually knows the brand and the cars on a personal level. Had it not been for Darren Bruno and his friendly and accommodating attitude, I may very well have walked in through the front and out the back. He had an answer to most every question I threw his way and then some. Every other sales person I met prior knew little to nothing about the cars they were selling. I found myself teaching them more than they knew. Darren on the other hand was very different. He educated me on the car, pricing and reasoning for the type of purchase and still managed to respect my financial position. I didn't even want to try to fight down the price as I normally would because I was already satisfied with the services he had offered thus far. He wasn't just trying to sell a car so much as build a good customer relation. Being my first new car purchase, I wanted it to be a memorably good one. I believe it was a great first experience to learn from. I feel that he has been a very trust worthy person whom I know if there was ever a problem then I just give him a call. I chose the 2013 Candy White Autobahn GTI DSG with a 36 month lease. The car has been amazing and having Darren at Donaldson's to back me up if anything were to happen has left me feeling very pleased and stress free of a car for once. There should be more salesmen like Darren. Unfortunately, there is not. That makes me feel like a VIP customer with special privileges who plans on coming back to Donaldson's for any future purchase. The experience at Donaldson's was wonderful. We live in Melville and have quite a few VW dealers in the area. Donaldson's was recommended by a friend. While we were waiting for the car, (10 minutes) we met a few people in the lounge area of the dealership. Everyone had great things to say about the Donaldson experience. One woman was on her third Passat and she came all the way from Hicksville. We are thinking of buying a Passat next year. We just bought the cc and everyone loves it. We would go back to Donaldson's in a heartbeat. More
