The showroom was clean, neat and inviting. The customer waiting area was stocked very nicely with coffee, hot cocoa, etc., and comfortable seating. The Financial man (Robert something - can't remember his last name) was clear, respectful and didn't try to confuse me. Papers were explained well and filled out promptly. The car was ready and clean when it was supposed to be and had a big bow on it - very cute!! The general manager came over and introduced himself to me and seemed interested in my satisfaction (Mike Mc Devitt). Christine was also very personable and helpful in setting up the test drive. The little glitch with the blue tooth set-up was handled on the spot and solved - it has since worked beautifully. Overall, I felt that I was treated with honesty, respect, and concern for my needs. The employees of Donaldson's VW that I dealt with had a great pride and happiness in their jobs there. They showed wonderful attitudes and seemed to work with a team spirit that was refreshing to experience. The price of the Routan seemed fair to me. The trade-in price I received for my Pacifica also seemed fair to me. I was told by Robert that he got me a better finance rate through VW than I was going to get through NEFCU and by the way, the rate was very good. All in all, the experience I had at Donaldson's VW was far superior to any previous car buying experience I had had. Not only would I not hesitate to go back to Donaldson's VW, I would highly recommend the dealership to any friend/acquaintance of mine who was in the market for a VW or Subaru.
