They make you use a DEBIT CARD to buy a car if you won’t use THEIR financing. I have bought about 10 cars with cash in the past and all of them with accepted a wire or a check if they call the bank to use THEIR financing. I have bought about 10 cars with cash in the past and all of them with accepted a wire or a check if they call the bank to verify funds. This was extremely inconvenient because most banks don’t allow you to increase a debit limit for enough for a car. In the end, we made two four-hour drives to Vegas on two days in order to get it—all because of this absurd policy. More
