I drive a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe, and recently the fuel tank cover got completely stuck. I tried everything—locking and unlocking the car, turning the engine on and off—but nothing worked. I called my usual dealership in McKinney, where I originally bought the car, and explained that I was running out of gas. The representative told me they were fully booked and offered an appointment two weeks out. Knowing my gas wouldn't last that long, I asked if I could just drop by so someone could help me pop the cover open so I could fill up until a replacement part was ordered. The answer was a flat "no." I called two other dealerships in the area and got the exact same response. Then I called Eckert Hyundai in Denton and spoke with Angela. She immediately understood the urgency—realizing this might be my only vehicle and that it was the weekend—and asked if I could come in right away. When I arrived, a technician took less than 30 seconds to safely open the fuel cover. That is what true customer service looks like. It’s nice to hear an apology, but when a practical solution is right there, action speaks louder than words. Angela went above and beyond to deliver exceptional, compassionate service. She deserves 1,000,000 stars! I’m thoroughly disappointed with my former McKinney dealership, but Eckert Hyundai has officially earned all of my future business. Highly recommended! More
