Rene--Your warranty is with Hyundai and it is up to Hyundai to approve or deny a claim. As a show of goodwill, our Service Manager explained that even though Hyundai denied the engine we wanted to help: we provided a repair estimate that was $4000.00 off between parts and labor. We also offered the option of vehicle replacement with full consideration of your trade. We sincerely tried every angle to help.

This is complete spin. I was told by the service department that the 2017 Santa Fe V6 had no issues or recalls. If one were to Google this they would see that it is not the case. The excellent care and service that my family received at Eddie Terrel North Park Hyundai consistently in on schedule is likely the only reason this engine lasted to 107,000 miles before blowing up. The outside repair shop that I got another estimate for quoted me the same price that the dealership supposedly had discounted so heavily. Another interesting fact is that the repair shop was doing the same engine Replacement on another 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe V6 with only 70,000 miles. You can try to make Hyundai the bad guy here, but I smelt no effort from Eddie Gerald Northpark Hyundai to make the situation right. The service department is the profit center of any auto dealership. My family has brought our vehicle for every bit of maintenance possible to your service center for the last five years.
