After a car accident in July of this year, where my 2011 Honda civic was totaled I wasn't super excited to have to buy a new car- I loved my 2011 that I bought at Honda of el Cerrito in 2011 and was so sad when the accident occurred in July and was deemed a total loss. I returned to Honda of El Cerrito to Work with Rick and his team because of the truly exceptional experience I had in 2011 when I leased and then purchased my first new vehicle ever, the 2011 civic mentioned above. When many other dealerships gave me the run around and tried to over charge me, Rick and his team gave me honest and generous support to help me get into a car at a payment that I could afford back then, even when I was totally inexperienced with the process and had never had a loan of that size before. They took their time to calm my nerves and explain in honest detail all of my options back then and I drove off a truly satisfied and grateful customer. Because of that previous great experience, I returned to Honda of El Cerrito last week to get a new vehicle and I received the same support and honesty from all of the people I worked with during my purchase. Silvia Garcia helped me review and select a new vehicle showing me first all of my used options and then the new car options. She was not only very friendly, but relatable and also very honest when I asked her questions comparing different models of cars, purchase and lease options and payment arrangements. When other dealerships I'd been to felt like they would have sold me anything and told me anything, I truly felt that Silvia and Rick cared that I got exactly what I needed and could afford, nothing more and nothing less. I did not feel pushed or rushed and felt heard when I asked questions regarding any concerns I had. I enjoyed chatting with Silvia as well on test drives which made this big decision and time consuming process even more enjoyable as she is very kind and personable and a pleasure to be around. In addition, Mau in finance was also very supportive and went out of his way to be patient and answer all of my questions honestly regarding the additional protection plans and finance options available to me. I don't think Im an easy customer either, because I have a million questions before signing anything and Mau really took his time and with a smile, gave me detailed info that I asked for and supported me in making the right decisions for my protection plans and finance options. I came away feeling secure in my decisions because of his patience. I am genuinely grateful to have an ongoing relationship with Rick and his team at Honda of el Cerrito and to know that if I ever need any repairs or need to get a new vehicle, I will always be treated with respect, honestly and patience. After my first purchase in 2011, which was truly a miracle for me as I had never even driven a new car and had no idea if I would qualify for a loan, I have referred many friends to Rick and his team and will continue to do so. In my spare time I've looked around at other dealerships and every time come away grateful for my connection at Honda of El Cerrito because every other dealership experience I've had, has paled in comparison to the sincerity and respect Ive been shown at Honda of El Cerrito.
