Matt Spohr was our salesman. He was great to work with. He helped us find the Cherokee with the options we needed and some we wanted. He even let us change our mind swapping out a 4 cyl. Engine Cherokee to He helped us find the Cherokee with the options we needed and some we wanted. He even let us change our mind swapping out a 4 cyl. Engine Cherokee to a V6 engine Cherokee after he had already wrote up the paperwork on the 4 cylinder. The I4 just does not have the power the V6 has and only get 1 mile per gallon more gas mileage. I know Chrysler/Fiat have to meet a Federal EPA quota of miles per gallon however there are other 3.2L V6 engines out there that have better MPG (i.e. BMW) than the V6 in my Cherokee. If there was a diesel available I would have opted for the diesel engine. Main reason we brought a Jeep Cherokee is this car will be out tow car behind our diesel pusher RV. In order to tow it with all four wheels down it had to have Active Drive II. I have only seen Active Drive II on the Trailhawk and the Limited. The Cherokee is smaller and lighter than the Grand Cherokee and with Active Drive II has better off road ability than the Grand Cherokee. I did like the Grand Cherokee Overland model however it is too expensive for what you are getting, to heavy, higher cost to operate, etc. The Cherokee fits into a niche market of Towable Vehicles for RV owners. Lasher's might want to consider going after this market by having a booth at various RV Rallies across the country with customers able to make and receive quotes for the exact vehicle they want new or possibly used that can be towed with all four wheels down behind an RV. You would have to step up the service department to be able to install the correct baseplate for towing and making the electrical connections. Your market is across the entire country, with a booth at the major (large) RV Rallies like the FMCA 89th Family Reunion in Perry Georgia in March, the Pomona RV Show they have every year plus many others large Rallies in almost every state that the Class A Motor Home manufactures exhibit at. The number of new vehicles that can be towed has been shrinking over the last decade. More
