My experience started out great. I own 16 Ford vehicles and I started taking all of them to Elkhorn Motors Ford as we moved our office back into the Elkhorn area. We had a few issue I own 16 Ford vehicles and I started taking all of them to Elkhorn Motors Ford as we moved our office back into the Elkhorn area. We had a few issues, but I looked past them and kept using them. One of our vehicles had blown its engine which was partially covered under Warranty by Ford Corporate, but I was still forced to pay $2,000 out of pocket towards the repair. Not even 1,000 miles later, the new engine Elkhorn Motors installed failed and left us stranded. We had to tow it back from southern Illinois directly to Elkhorn Motors. They looked it over and when I went in to check on it, Joe in service told me a part they installed failed, and destroyed the brand new engine they installed. He then said I would have to pay the FULL price almost $10,000 for another engine to be installed! I spoke to Scott Last, the owner, he said the same thing that this was my problem now and not theirs. He said I should call Ford Corporate and file a complaint, which I did. Nothing happened. I waited almost a year hoping they would do the right thing, but today the owners son in law, John Riese, sent a message not to myself, but to one of our employees saying "Tell your boss man if snow starts flying and I have to plow, that Escape is getting towed out of here!" When things go well, this dealership is good, but when things go wrong, they avoid blame at all costs. I had to pay another tow bill to tow this Ford Escape to another local dealership that offered to diagnose the problem and work with Ford Corporate on my behalf to get our vehicle back on the road. Also, since I have posted my review on Google, Yelp, Facebook, and the BBB. John Riese has retaliated by leaving my business negative reviews, which has no relevance on our business, only proving my point that this dealership can not be trusted. Scott, if you want to reach out to rectify this, you have my number. I hope the few thousand dollars you saved by not repairing the faulty engine you installed is worth this. More

Elkhorn Motors has always treated me real well. I'll continue to depend on them for my car service as long as Ford Motor Company produces quality products. I'll continue to depend on them for my car service as long as Ford Motor Company produces quality products. More
With all credit due to John Riese, he had to work a bit to earn our business. He understands there is a difference between a sales person and an order taker. Ultimately, we packaged a very good deal and pu to earn our business. He understands there is a difference between a sales person and an order taker. Ultimately, we packaged a very good deal and purchased a great vehicle. I truly appreciate we we're straightforward with one another, especially via e-mail prior to coming up to look at and test drive the vehicle, and he continued to be fair at the point of sale. We'll most certainly consider Elkhorn Motors again when the time comes to purchase another vehicle. More
