I felt the need to advise you on the incompetence of your service department staff. And my overall disappointment in Chevy and their products. In June 2023 I received a recall notice on my Chevy Traverse rec service department staff. And my overall disappointment in Chevy and their products. In June 2023 I received a recall notice on my Chevy Traverse recall #N232404980. I called your dealership as that is where the car was purchased every month or so and was told this recall had no solution yet even though the notice clearly states the airbag inflation may result in injury or death. Here we are over two years later in September 2025 and I finally get another notice advising the recall parts were in stock. Two and a half weeks ago I called and was advised an immediate appointment should not be made as it will take a week to get the part in stock. So we scheduled an appointment over two weeks out and she advised the part would be in stock by then as she would ensure it. I show up to the dealership today and the woman at the desk must have been new as she was unsure how to check if the part was in stock. She had to get the help of the blond woman to print my forms and then needed help calling the parts dept to be sure my part was on the shelf. After calling around she found that the part was not in stock yet and could not provide a reason or when it would be in stock. Her answer was well we will email you. I thought this was beyond ridiculous as I took a day off of work to have this recall taken care of. I was assure by your incompetent worker the part would be in stock and then told go home and we will email you which is hilarious as my email is not how we communicate. She then proceeded to say “yeah sorry it happens a lot”. What kind of answer is that after I have wasted gas, milage and time for an issue that may kill me to be so nonchalant. So, I am currently writing a bad review of your staff on Google and also send this notice directly to Chevy as this was not a proper or professional way to treat me. If the part was not in stock for whatever reason the professional thing to have done would be to call me before the appointment and reschedule. I am awaiting your call now when the part is actually there and when I will need to take another day off to have this issue fixed. In the meanwhile lets hope that I do not crash and need the airbag to work. More
