From my perspective, Evergreen Subaru is the best Subaru dealer in Maine. We have been driving Subaru Foresters since 1998-- the year they came out. There has always been 2 of them in our driveway because they are the perfect car for us; economical, spacious, safe, AWD, reliable and comfortable. Evergreen has treated us very, very fairly whether we are just adding a car or buying a car with a trade in. They are honest, easy to deal with and competitively priced. And, they are friendly people. I think some dealerships try to train people to be nice, but Evergreen folks are all nice by nature. Their service shop is nice, they do excellent work in a timely way, and they don't push you to do unnecessary work. I like that. There are 2 Subaru dealerships that are closer to us and Evergreen, and another just about as far away. We choose Evergreen because of how well they treat us, and that they value long term relationships. That's what makes Evergreen great in our book. Happy shopping. More

I’m very displeased with the service at Evergreen and with the poor customer service they have and continue to provide. I had bought a $25000 used car only to be told by the used car sales manager 3 week with the poor customer service they have and continue to provide. I had bought a $25000 used car only to be told by the used car sales manager 3 weeks back that if I would spend the extra 4-5 grand I wouldn’t have the issues. Before buying the vehicle I was promised a list of cosmetic issues were to be fixed before purchasing the vehicle which NONE were fixed. My vehicle has been in their shop 2 times now. After being in their shop the 1st time for the recon work they had NOT fixed and had promised me before purchasing the vehicle, they had also put 2 dents in the hood. I had to reschedule the appointment for the dents AGAIN today, December 6th because Evergreen failed to tell me when I called at 2:30pm to check the progress on my vehicle that the dent specialist wasn’t in today due to the weather (Which I understand 100%) Come 5:30pm when I call to check on my vehicle again for Evergreen to tell me that they can’t find my vehicle, after talking to 3 different workers they had finally found my vehicle and that the dent specialist wasn’t in until next Monday December 13th to potentially have the work NOT be done once again. More
I sold a vehicle to Evergreen and had to wait several weeks to get check mailed and was told a different story every time I called until the sales manger told me that his sale person was miss informed an weeks to get check mailed and was told a different story every time I called until the sales manger told me that his sale person was miss informed and that he didn't lie to me. He finally stated that there was a Covid outbreak and the finance Dept was out. I received the check in yesterday's mail. It was dated Sept 24 and the envelope was post marked Oct 1. I found that interesting since your sales manager told me it was mailed on Sept 27 but reality it was mail after I spoke with him on Sept 30. unable to figure out the true story, very poor!! More
This negative review applies only to the call center for the service department. I called 2-3 weeks in advance to make an appointment to have my car serviced before a 2000 mile trip. I explained that it’s a 90 minute drive for me to get to Auburn and I wanted an appointment. Still she pushed Express Service. Back and forth we went several times. I told her repeatedly that I wasn’t driving that far for service to not have an appointment. Finally she made (I thought) an appointment for me. When I arrived at Evergreen, there was no appointment for me on the books. My 30,000 service was almost due but it couldn’t be done because I didn’t have an appointment and they were totally booked.😡 Joel in Service was very accommodating but I wish I had the name of person on the phone. She should be FIRED! Moral of story is to not believe an appointment has been made at Evergreen Subaru. Next time I’ll call back immediately and confirm that it’s in system. One should not travel 90 minutes for an appointment that the representative never made. The call center should train it’s representatives to LISTEN to the caller and stop pushing Express Service. More
I had a very good buying experience at Evergreen. Probably my best car buying experience. My sales person was Angie Lafayette.
