Exeter and my salesman Mike Alger helped me figure out exactly what would work for me, and handled my many inquires with a lot of patience. The deal was almost too good to be true, and I was waiting for the "fine print" to present itself when I went to pick up the car. But I went in and signed the paperwork without a single extra out-the-door cost. I was surprised and happy at how simple it was to get in and out with my new car. I was planning on buying the car but ended up leasing after being told the pros and cons of each and Fletcher was very personable, helpful and attentive during the whole process. We were also purchasing 2 Foresters at the same time. I Initially started dealing with Exeter Subaru Via the Internet and basically set the price via email. Upon arrival at the dealership I asked to see Casey who was the person I was working with via email, Casey met me and immediately handed me off to another salesperson, okay, I get it, the Internet people obviously don't interact with customers in person but the handoff was fast and unexpected and it was obvious that Casey had something else she needed to do. Ann Murphy was friendly and worked hard to be helpful but it was obvious that she had no idea of any previous arrangements I had made with Casey, including price and a referral bonus that was agreed to. The reason I wanted to do business via the Internet and email was to avoid spending time going over the details at the dealership. We agreed upon the 2 vehicles we were going to purchase and made arrangements to come back the next day to close the transaction, during the initial visit I asked three times about confirmation of the finance rate and was told I will have an answer the next day, Right up until closing of the transaction I still did not know if the loan was approved and what the interest rate was. I assumed everything was going to be okay regarding financing as credit history is not an issue, however I hope that this is not the way business is usually done as many people do not have good credit. The next day was the end of the month and obviously a very busy time for the dealership, it took two hours to close both transactions, two different finance managers were used, one for each car, I sat in the waiting area for over 30 minutes waiting for the second transaction and it turns out that the finance manager didn't even know I was waiting. My goal was just to finish the deals and go home. My last comments are that we negotiated the $500 referral bonus as we were purchasing two cars for two different family members, The finance manager who closed the second deal had no idea about this negotiated bonus, we were given verbal confirmation that a check will be mailed to us in a couple of days. No check arrived and texts, phone calls and emails were not being returned. Needless to say there was some concern on our part. Today is September 15 and I finally received a phone call back and after confirming the mailing address a check will go out tomorrow. As I stated at the beginning of this long narrative it just didn't need to be so complicated; there is a communication issue between the Internet department, the sales staff and the finance people. As a customer we did not need the added stress and frustration. I want to just chalk up the whole experience to the end of the month rush and perhaps people just having a bad day. More

A very different car buying experience!! I drove 3 different models/ trim levels, spending 3 plus hours on my first visit. During this time, I never felt pushed or rushed in anyway. It was obvious to me that Fletcher wanted me to find the right car to fit my needs. Several days later, after much thought, I returned with more questions. Again I was met with respect and patience. I drove a couple more models, and again got the feeling that my needs, and finding the right car for me was first and foremost to Fletcher. Once I made a decision, the pricing and trade in process was equally smooth. I received a very fair price and trade value for my 12 year old car; well within my purchasing budget! Exeter Subaru truly made this car buying process a unique one!! Thank you Fletcher, Mike and Jimmy. More
