My husband and I just purchased a 2007 Ford Taurus from Expressway Chevrolet about a month ago. We had driven in from Evansville because I had heard very good things about Expressway Chevrolet and I knew t Expressway Chevrolet about a month ago. We had driven in from Evansville because I had heard very good things about Expressway Chevrolet and I knew that they had some cars in our price range (under $6000). We were able to walk around and look at cars without being bothered by a salesperson so I was quite pleased with that. We found two cars we were interested in so we walked up to the main entrance to find someone to show us the cars and let us test drive them. After we found one we wanted, we went in to fill out some paperwork. This was our first car purchase from a dealership and we felt the car price was pretty fair (in line with KBB and Edmunds pricing) so we didn't haggle. What we didn't realize was that they had JUST lowered the price by $1000 on their website but they failed to let us know that. So we paid about $1000 more than what we could have. In addition, the salesman flat out lied to us about our loan. He said "your loan requires you to get a warranty". Again, this was our first dealership purchase so I did not know that that was illegal (yes, it's illegal for a loan company to require that) and that cost us an extra $1580. Also, the warranty company is one of the worst rated that I've found so we are going to try to cancel it. Overall, I probably would recommend this dealership to a friend or family member BUT I would tell them to make sure they said NO to the warranty (ask to see the loan document that requires it if they say it's required) and definitely check all their websites (the Expressway group has many websites) to find the lowest price they have listed on the car you want. Overall experience was awful, came across this salesperson from a recommended source. He was friendly and kind and was very helpful. He seemed very agitated and seemed like he wanted us out of the salesperson from a recommended source. He was friendly and kind and was very helpful. He seemed very agitated and seemed like he wanted us out of there as soon as possible. Detail was very rude when they brought our keys to us, and our car was not clean at all. It was a young kid with his ears pierced. As soon my wife and I drove away we toured around the other lots looking for vehicles she might have in mind for herself, and we could not believe who we ran into again.THE same KID who was rude to my wife and I was on the lot SMOKING! The overall experience was good but there needs to be some serious professionalism and respect. WE are forking over a lot of money and I demand some sort of respect. More
