In April we started our new car search in earnest at the Colorado Springs 2012 Auto Show. It was at that show where we met Kerri Hill. We enjoyed her professionalism from the very start; she smiled and was very kind and not pushy. About 3 to 4 weeks later we caught up with her at her place of employment, The Faricy Boys. I was very surprised that she remembered us by name from the car show. During the visit she gave us a brochure for the Jeep Grand Cherokee and told us to take our time going over the options and figure out what was important to us. We were also considering other vehicles and shared that info with Kerri. I felt Kerri gave us sound advice on the other products and encouraged us to test drive those vehicles. We decided the Jeep Grand Cherokee was the car for us. Keep in mind that we started our search in early April and purchased our vehicle in late June. We found the perfect car, a Maximum Steel Metallic exterior with Dark Frost Beige/Light Frost Beige interior Grand Cherokee Overland. This vehicle was in transit due to arrive later in the week. We found the car on a Saturday afternoon and decided to take the rest of the weekend to think on it. However another customer liked the car and didn’t need the weekend to think about. We found this out the following Monday evening. By the time we showed up Monday, Kerri had run a 500 mile radius search looking for a car that would satisfy our demands. There was nothing. However we found another car on the lot that worked for us; not our first choice but a close second. This time we made an intent to buy deposit and took a day to make sure we could live with our second choice. We did some additional homework on the options, True Market Value (TMV), insurance, etc. The price The Faricy Boys was willing to sell the car for was right at TMV according to www.edmunds.com. And the best part, there was absolutely no haggling on the price. We picked the car up Thursday. We spent all of 30 minutes (or less) filling out the paperwork and writing the check. We spent more time during the final walk around then doing the paperwork for this vehicle. She patiently worked with us for six months while we tried to narrow down our needs versus our budget. Whenever we had a question she promptly answered it or got the information we needed. Through emails and newsletters, she kept the right amount of contact with us and wasn't the least bit pushy. During our long search for vehicles, we went to several dealerships and spoke with various sales consultants--none of her competitors could match her in helpfulness and friendliness. We arrived on Friday evening and Kerri was the salesperson who asked if she could help. We knew what we were looking for and she was very helpful with the test drive and explaining then new featur salesperson who asked if she could help. We walked in with a pretty good idea of what we wanted (Patriot), thanks to online research, but Kerri helped us by suggesting an even more affordable Sport trim and telling us it was available with some (Patriot), thanks to online research, but Kerri helped us by suggesting an even more affordable Sport trim and telling us it was available with some options we wanted (power windows/AC). The whole process after that was so easy, it was just stupid. We literally gave her a few pieces of information, she disappeared for 5 minutes and came back and told us what our payments would be. Then we nodded, she disappeared again and came back with a finance guy (who ended up getting us a 2.9% interest rate with a 7 year/70,000 mile FULL protection package!) HELLO?!?! The entire thing took literally 2 hours, start to finish, and that was including the test drive. The facility was spotless and well-maintained and the waiting area was comfortable and even offered free coffee! :) Everybody was VERY knowledgeable about working with USAA, they gave us a military discount and made sure we got some dealer incentives as well, and even the employees who weren't working with us were friendly, inquisitive and helpful, right down to the lady answering the phones at the main desk!
