After shopping online and visiting a couple of dealerships in my area, (one of which wouldn't even give me a price on a vehicle that I was interested in because I wouldn't commit to buying it that dealerships in my area, (one of which wouldn't even give me a price on a vehicle that I was interested in because I wouldn't commit to buying it that day. Another didn't have a very big selection). I was getting a little discouraged. But found the vehicle I wanted at an unbelievable price on your website. Drove down from Annapolis, MD to see it, ran short on time an had to leave without talking to anyone about the vehicle. Skeptical, I sent an email to the dealership to get the "real" price. Terry Fant contacted me and assured me there were no gimmicks and that the advertised price was the real price. He took a deposit over the phone and I went down the next day and purchased my new Jeep. I love it, and was very pleased with the whole experience. More
I found this dealership on Google and was wary about purchasing from a dealership I didn't know! But after I got into contact with a Mr. Simon Chu all of my doubts were put at ease. He is highly recommended, and I hope if you chose to do business with this dealership that you seek him out. More
I originally contacted Jarrod Elwinger at Motorcars Washington in order to help me procure a new Jeep. Jarrod previously helped me buy a new 2010 Toyota 4Runner and I had an excellent experience workin Washington in order to help me procure a new Jeep. Jarrod previously helped me buy a new 2010 Toyota 4Runner and I had an excellent experience working with him. I told Jarrod that I saw Farrish of Fairfax had a Jeep Rubicon like the one I was looking for on their web site and that I wanted to go to Farrish to look at it in person. He said he would make a phone call and call me back. When he called me back, he said that he spoke with the manager Justin. He told me to ask for Justin when I got there. When I walked in, one of the sales people, Simon Chu, greeted me and asked how he could be of help. I ended up speaking with him as well as Justin for quite a while regarding what my wife and I were looking for, what they had in stock and what my options were if they didn't have it in stock (among other things). Simon and Justin were two of the most helpful, knowledgeable and cool sales people/staff at any car dealer I have ever been to. And I've been to a lot of them. Simon knew the ins and outs of every model Jeep has to offer and explained everything clearly and in detail. Even when I stopped in unannounced, they took the time out of what they were doing to help me. Simon also saved the day by letting me know that the black Rubicon I was about to write off because it didn't have leather seats (my wife had to have leather seats) could be outfitted with Katzkin leather seats for about the same price as the factory option. Simon bringing this up to us saved the day by keeping from having to custom order a Rubicon which would have delayed taking delivery by 4-8 weeks. And the best part is that the leather seats we had put in were custom made with inserts just the way my wife wanted them so she is happier than ever. Simon and Justin were exceptional to deal with and have helped restore my faith in car salespeople and dealer management - at least at Farrish. I would definitely recommend Simon, Justin and Farrish of Fairfax to anyone in the market for a Jeep, Chrysler or Dodge. We will definitely be going back to them for any and all future Jeep purchases. Danilo Bogdanovic More
We found a jeep online at the Farrish dealership that we wanted to purchase....with an adverstised online price (which is already misleading as they list the MSRP which includes the destination charge and t wanted to purchase....with an adverstised online price (which is already misleading as they list the MSRP which includes the destination charge and then they show their "Farrish E-Price" which does NOT include the destination charge). We took the jeep for a test drive and then started negotiations. Before the process even started, I asked if they handled the tags, tax & title for us since we lived in Maryland and I was told yes. 1. They evaluated our trade and offered us $1000 less than Carmax was willing to pay. 2. They told us they were taking $500 off of the E-Price (this actually was a rebate that jeep was offering that we knew about, but they made it seem it was their thing). 3. They then gave us an out the door price including everything. The number was quite a bit higher than we hoped, so we told them that we could get another $1000 for our trade at Carmax so we'd just be taking it there and we asked if they'd be willing to come down another $800 on the price. They came back and told us that they could come down another $100 on the price and that they would give us the extra $1000 on the trade. After running the numbers and coming up with the out the door price, we were excited to make our deal. However, after asking FOUR seperate times during negotiations to ensure that Maryland tax was being figured, I was told that they had miscalculated and used VA tax. This raised our price by another $1500....and they weren't willing to do anything about their mistake. Frustrated, we walked out. The next day we received an email with a breakdown of the numbers asking us if we had reconsidered the price. It was then that we discovered the most unsettling information: 1. The initial $500 off of the e-price as well as the additional $100 was never calculated into our "out the door price", so alhtough they were making us feel like they were giving us a better deal, they weren't. 2. More importantly, the Maryland tax was inflated. When we sent an email asking them to clarify why the $600 wasn't included in the price and more imporantly, asking them to clarify how they reached the Maryland tax number because there was no combination of numbers that we could use to get to that number....we've yet to receive a response and that was 3 days ago. **UPDATE** After the initial posting of this review, I was contacted by Justin. While I still feel strongly that we were mislead and that there was some manipulation/misrepresentation of the numbers on the back end, he did clarify for me how he calculated the tax. The inflation of tax was due to 2 reasons: we were told that the sales price they gave us actually included a $500 rebate that is taxable. So they used the amount before the rebate to calculate the tax, but were showing us the sale amount after the rebate. In addition, it was this $500 rebate that they were referring to which was accounted for in the E-Price, not an additional $500 that they were willing to give us. And finally, they said that they would either give us the additional $100 off the price OR the extra $1000 for the trade, but not both. My piece of advice stands that you need to do your research and know your numbers before you go to the dealership. Make sure you're understanding everything. And be prepared - even though you've asked and clarified several times during the process - for them to calculate the wrong tax at the 6th hour of negotiations. And finally, Farrish may tell you that they have the "lowest E-Price" anywhere...and when you research this, you will find that they do....but this is mostly because they strip it down and in the fine print you'll see that destination charges are not included and all factory rebates (some you may not be eligible for) are included in that price. So once they get you into the dealership, be prepared to pay $1000-$2500 over that "e-price" just for the vehicle. More

I definitely would go back to Farrish of Fairfax and deal with Simon Chu again and will recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. A few hours before starting this I received a followup call from Mr. Chu to find out if everything was fine with the Jeep and how I was doing. Thank you Mr. Chu Roger Groleau More
