I had made an appointment on the website which directed me to schedule on the site but does not in fact work. When I got to the dealership we kindly explained that the website isn't working and hasn't been me to schedule on the site but does not in fact work. I have leased F-150 on June 25, 2020. Since I have been shopping for one F-150, I didn't test-drive the truck. When opened the hood, found that the radiator fluid was well below the lower limit and the back heat shield was badly chewed by a rodent or something. I do not have any rat or rodent in my house, called them and texted a pic of the heat shield, the sales rep initially confirmed that sometimes they get cars like that, they will be happy to replace that for me. I was relieved and decided to go there, but they didn't have any opening that week, My work started the following week after a long covid19 break, so I wanted to hold the trip for another couple of weeks, then called again to schedule an appointment. They said I have to pay for the heat shield since if is not under factory warranty. I then explained and sent another pic of the heat shield saying it didn't happen in my possession, I do not have rodents at my house, and the damage remained same even after another couple of weeks. Then spoke with the original sales rep, he said they will not cover the expenses, although he initially said it should be covered. This will cost me $250 for that heat shield. It is now about three months the damage is still exactly the same as it was after two weeks when I first checked under the hood. When buying a brand new car, why'd anybody check for faults, I don't understand. They asked me to prove that it didn't happen in my possession, how in the world will I do that. If it was used car, I'd totally understand, since I am supposed to check everything before the purchase. A good dealership should have offered me to take the car from my home, fix it, and return back to me. Instead, they totally declined to repair for free and blamed that it happened at my house. It would have been a small cost for them to keep me as a loyal customer. I felt scammed. Nobody usually opens the hood when buying a brand new truck. Extremely disappointed with this dishonest behavior from this dealership! More
