We were just trying to get by a little longer but we couldn't. It was time, but we had no time. My husband was leaving town for work in 24 hrs and we seriously needed a truck! We did our research online, found the best deal we could on a 2018 Dodge 4x4 SLT, and made a call to Blackhawk. After speaking to sales agents from 6 dealerships across the state who demanded that we come in to discuss prices, we were relieved when Julie, from Blackhawk, was willing to work things through by phone. We had a two hour drive ahead of us, so Shawn, the finance guy, took our information by phone and got things rolling. When we got there, financing was handled! Then we learned that there was a small chip in the windshield that nobody had noticed. Within an hour they had safe-lite there repairing it. We needed a hitch installed and Brad from parts jumped through hoops and found us a hitch, although had to drive quite a distance to get it. We went to dinner. It was past closing time when we got back which meant employees had stayed late to put it on. Overall, these people bent over backward, from the first call to the hugs goodbye . Great dealership, car has been great so far. Easy to work with and I was in and out of there within an hour of buying the car. Do not buy a car from this dealer...ever! I contacted the dealer by phone asking about a new crew cab, and at first everything was going well, i was able to make an appointment for the following day and was dealer by phone asking about a new crew cab, and at first everything was going well, i was able to make an appointment for the following day and was able to get some of my questions answered. I arrived about 10 mins early for my appointment, I was unsure of were to go, so i walked up to the office and there was a women inside, and i explained i had an appointment with steve, she never looked up or even acknowledge me, she picked up the phone and paged steve, and told me to go wait in the lounge. At first I thought "WOW"..customer service at it's best, and then I thought maybe she just having a bad day and kind of brushed it of, I went to the lounge and waited for someone to come and get me and after sitting there for about 20 mins i decided to go and see if I could find steve...after a couple of people walked by me with out offering any assistance I walked back to the cashier's office and asked again for steve...the same women paged steve...after another 10 mins or so I finally reached steve. Steve apologized for not being on time, when we sat down and I told him what i was wanting in the truck and color, the truck i wanted they did not have on the lot or even something close. They did a search for and was able to find one that was 3.5 to 4 hours away. As we were going over the pricing i explained i could receive a supplier pricing from ford and dodge, after this everything changed. I was then informed that a trade had to be approved, and more than likely there would be a charge to go get it, because on supplier deals they don't MAKE ENOUGH MONEY to go and get a car or truck from another dealer. I asked how much that would be and he said he did not know but would go ask. He returned with what he called a purchase agreement with all of the numbers on my supplier deal, none of the number were itemized, there was just a total with "after all rebates, tax, supplier discount, plus plates" It was within $150 of the orginal pricing that was offered to me, but the supplier discount had lower the first price by $2200.00. I was shocked..I asked why it was so much and steve explained that "this is what we would need to go get that truck" I asked "could I go a pick up the truck", he was not sure and said he would go ask, he returned and told me that they won't let customers do that because they lose money that way. He asked me if I wanted the truck and i said no, I was not willing to pay $2000 to go get the truck, i told him i was willing to pay $250, he left again to go talk with this mystery person who was making all of these decisions, he came back and said they could not do it for that. i thanked steve for his time and left. I received a message from steve they received a truck he thought would work, i returned the call and asked for steve after sitting on hold for 4 or 5 mins a women came back to the phone and explained that steve did not answer, I explained the message i had received, her reply...whats your name...no i dont have a trade for you, and I would know because all of them go through me...do u want to leave a message? (another bad day) I said "no" couple of days later steve called again and asked if i was still interested in a truck, I explained i had bought the same truck at the supplier price from another dealer (dealer was with in 20 Miles), he then hung up on me. this is the most unprofessional group of people I have ever encountered....i will not even service my truck here..i will drive the extra 20 miles.
