July 11th Service. No rating July 10 Service On July 10, 2019 we had an extremely bad service experience at the dealer. See below. We returned the car to the dealer on July 11, 2019 and most if On July 10, 2019 we had an extremely bad service experience at the dealer. See below. We returned the car to the dealer on July 11, 2019 and most if not all of the problems, issues, concerns have been corrected. This evaluation is based upon the July 11, 2019 service experience and not the July 10, 2019 services experience. We have been advised to contact our Service Advisor if any new items arise going forward. Firkins Service and Service Documentation Issues of July 10, 2019 Service S200. Battery Issue:1-Battery is still testing undercharged (low) after July 10, 2019 at Firkins. Had battery fully charged 3 times after Firkins Service on July 10, 2019 and battery is dropping charge. Same test was done once on our other Chrysler vehicle with older battery and no issues/tests worked fine. Documentation Issues: 2-2 battery tests were done at Firkins on July 10, 2019. Supporting documentation was not included for either test nor was the scope of testing detailed in the customer copy of the services performed. Firkins advisors orally advised us of both tests before and after the Chrysler GR8 process which included a recharge of the battery but none of this is reflected in the written documentation provided the customer nor was other supporting documentation. This is not acceptable from a service perspective. After 5 hours of waiting for the car, I (Rich) was advised initially that the battery was bad and needed a replacement but before this could be done, another 2-3 hours was needed to recharge and retest the battery on the Chrysler GR8 which was not Quick Service Check. Rich said fine. None of this documentation is reflected anywhere in our customer documentation left at Cashiers for us last night after we were advised to pick up the car. 3-In addition to the car being at Firkins for 8 hrs for essentially a battery check with appointment, 2 hours of commuting between Firkins and our home 2 trips and another 3 hours getting the battery independently tested elsewhere, we are incurring more time today with another visit for the same and more issues. 13 plus hours consumed by us yesterday on this item. 4-There is a statement in our customer report that the battery is aged and may need a battery replacement soon due to age. The battery was installed January, 2019 and is 6 months old. This statement appears to be error and makes no sense to us. Needs correction. 5-There is a statement that customer was advised. We were never told this but see it in the written report. This is also an error. This also appears to need correction with 6 month old battery. 6-Ken H Service Adviser called Sandy Wilk in the afternoon that the car was ready after about 8 hours in the shop, and that the battery was a little low but if you drive it around for awhile it will be ok. Sandy reported this to Rich after he returned home from his MRI on his back and said this made no sense. 7-Rich confronted Ken with the information and asked Ken if the battery needs to be recharged by us given the reported level of testing at Firkins. He told Rich no which is in direct conflict with what he told Sandy Wilk about 1 hour before. This information also conflicts with the independent testing done after Firkins yesterday. We need to know how Firkins desires to proceed with these matters. We don’t feel safe driving the car in this condition. This entire experience is unacceptable service to us We also spent allot of time reviewing the incomplete, erroneous, unsupported ,etc service documentation left for us at the Cashier. Comments note above. HELP! Rich and Sandy July 11, 2019 8. Took vehicle back into Firkins and talked to Service Advisor Ken H. He agreed to retest the vehicle at 7am this morning. Get us all the missing documents mentioned above in the new tests. Ken was also surprised at the documentation left us yesterday at the Cashier when we picked up the car. He estimated the car would be out of the shop by 4pm today but would call Sandy Wilk since Rich has multiple doctor appointments today. We verbally walked Ken through all the issues listed above. We await the retest findings and documentation and will have reviewed when available to us. July 10 was a bad day for all of us and we are writing off this experience. Today is a new day. Thanks. We took possession of a preowned truck, yet they never asked for, or took, the second key, or the key to the bed cover. The factory key code was not provided so we couldnt reprogram the trucks locks with our personal codes. Had to spend $$ to access the factory code, so we could get a second key/fob made. And we are still trying to get a new lock for the bed cover. This all should have been done PRIOR to putting the truck on the lot for sale. They never offered to get these items taken care of. More
